Liverpool 0.47/1 Draw 3.75/1 Aston Villa 5/1

Liverpool are still chasing a top 4 spot. They come into the weekend in fifth place, 1 point behind Manchester United and 4 shy of third placed Newcastle but United still have a game in hand. Liverpool need maximum points from this match and a trip to relegated Southampton and their rivals will have to falter. A 3-0 win at Leicester on Monday was their seventh straight victory.

Villa are eighth with 57 points from 35 matches, level with Spurs and a point behind Brighton (Brighton have a game in hand). Europa League and Conference League qualification spots remain up for grabs and a 2-1 home win over Spurs last weekend was their sixth successive victory at Villa Park . On the down side, they have suffered back to back 1-0 defeats on the road at Manchester United and then Wolves in recent weeks.

The Verdict

Villa's challenge for a Europa spot has been built on excellent home form. They can be useful on their travels as well but I think Liverpool will keep up the pressure given their final match against Southampton should be a formality.

I will go with a home win multi score option

Wolves 17/10 Draw 24/10 Everton 1.55/1

Wolves have 40 points and were assured of safety well before last week's 2-0 defeat away to Manchester United. Their most recent home game delivered a 1-0 win over Villa and they have also beaten Palace, Brentford and Chelsea on home turf in recent times.

Everton went down 3-0 at home to Manchester City last weekend and they are fourth from bottom, 1 point clear of Leeds and 2 better off than Leicester whilst Southampton's relegation has already been confirmed. They were 5-1 winners away to Brighton recently and after this they finish up at home to Bournemouth.

The Verdict

Wolves recent home form suggests they haven't got the holiday brochures out just yet whilst a win for Everton would be a huge step towards safety with a winnable home game to come. I think Everton might just get 3 precious points.

Bournemouth 4.75/1 Draw 36/10 Man United 5/10

With 39 points Bournemouth are safe and since beating Leeds 4-1 in a home game they have lost successive matches, at home to Chelsea (3-1) and away to Palace (2-0).

United have this match and 2 home games, against Chelsea in midweek and then Fulham to come. A top 4 spot is theirs to lose but they will want to secure that aim at the earliest opportunity with the FA Cup final against City still to come.

The Verdict

It's a free hit for Bournemouth but they didn't offer a great deal in their last 2 matches and I fancy United can win this with daylight.

Notts Forest 4.25/1 Draw 34/10 Arsenal 0.57/1

Forest are fifth bottom with 3 points worth of daylight over Leeds although their goal difference is inferior to other relegation candidates and that could still be a factor. They battled their way to a 2-2 draw at Chelsea last time out and in their last 2 home games they beat Southampton 4-3 and Brighton 3-1

Arsenal's chances of landing the title all but went up in smoke with last week's 3-0 home defeat to Brighton and Manchester City need just 1 more win from their 3 remaining matches to be crowned champions. If Arsenal lose here City will be confirmed as title winners before they kick off against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Verdict

Gut feel here is that Forest will dig in and could be competitive. I give them a punchers chance of taking a point.
