Man United

Since losing the first derby of the season awat to City Manchester United have won 7, drawn 2 and lost 1 of the Premier League matches. They have kept 5 successive clean sheets in league matches in front of their own supporters and Rashford has been in fine form in front of goal, finding the net at least once in each of their last 6 league and cup matches. Overall league form at home comprises 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat and league leaders Arsenal are one of the teams to have lost here this season.

United have progressed to the semi finals of the Carabao Cup and the fourth round of the FA Cup and their winning streak has seen them move up to fourth in the EPL standings, level on points with Newcastle (who have played 1 game more), 4 points behind City who are second and 9 shy of league leaders Arsenal.

Man City

City return to league action after suffering a surprise 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup quarter final at Southampton in midweek. Prior to that they thrashed Chelsea 4-0 in the FA Cup but recent league form has not been as good as they would have hoped for. Over the course of the last 4 league games City have dropped points at home to Brentford (lost 2-1) and Everton (drew 1-1) but they have won on their travels at Leeds (3-1) and Chelsea (1-0)

Overall on the road City have won 5 of 8, they dropped points in draws at Newcastle and Villa in addition to a defeat at Liverpool.

Recent Head to Head

City won the first meeting season 6-3 in early October with Foden and Haaland both scoring hat tricks.

Last season City were 2-0 winners at Old Trafford and 4-1 winners at The Etihad.

The Verdict:

Few can live with City when they are at their best but that hasn't always been the case lately and I expect a competitive match and I'm look away from the match result for a bet.

Given his scoring steak Rashford to pop up any time appealed to me.

It's a derby and we can expect a few cards and Carlos Casemiro to pick one up looks a decent proposition even though he is favourite in that particular market.
