Spurs

Spurs come into the weekend program fifth in the standings, 2 points behind Manchester United and Newcastle (United have a game in hand). Since the league season resumed they have been hit and miss, clawing their way back to snatch a 2-2 draw at Brentford, losing 2-0 at home to Villa and last time out they found form with a 4-0 win at Palace

Arsenal

Arsenal's most recent league outing delivered a 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle. Prior to that they won 4-2 at Brighton and they came from behind to see off West Ham 3-1 in their Boxing Day home fixture.

The Gunners have won 9 and drawn 2 of their last 11 league games and have a 5 point lead over Manchester City at the top of the standings. Their only league defeat this season came 2-1 at Manchester United in early September and the only other dropped points away from home came when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Recent Head to Head

Arsenal won the first league meeting this season 3-1 with Partey giving them the lead which was cancelled out by a Harry Kane penalty before the break. Jesus (now injured) and Xhaka were on target in the second half.

Last season Arsenal also won 3-1 at The Emirates but the return was won by Spurs 3-0.

Spurs are currently 22/10 to win the game with the draw at 2.54/1 and Arsenal can be backed at around 12/10

A game of 3 goals or more is priced at 15/20 and it's 13/20 for both teams to score.

Kane is 4.27/1 to score the first goal and 1.43 to score any time

Nketiah is 6.34/1 to score the first goal and 23/10 to score any time

The Verdict:

Spurs will have to be at their near their best to get something from this game but I'm open minded about the match result. Looking back at the first meeting this season only 7 corners were awarded (5-2 in Arsenal's favour). After considering a number of options I fancy Spurs can edge the corner count with home advantage being a big factor.
