Race 1

GO IT ALONE‘S last start can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. He returns from a 23-week break which may have done him the world of good. His debut effort when finishing fourth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth catches the eye. If not in need of the run, he can shed his maiden tag.

NORDIC CHIEF has produced two fair runs over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last start has come out and won since. He has been gelded and with luck from his wide draw, he should pose a threat.

IN THE BAG showed some improvement in his last start over this C&D. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and will be doing his best work at the finish.

Race 2

PINK MOON produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on this course. She understandably raced green, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The daughter of Sea The Moon would have gained from the experience and should love the extra distance on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the horse to beat.

FANNY KEMBLE finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line.

TEQUILA SKY may not have seen out the 1400m last time. Her penultimate run when second over this C&D catches the eye. She jumps from a good draw of two and if putting her best foot forward, she should be competitive.

Race 3

FOUDRE produced a promising debut effort over 1250m on this course. The well-related son of Fire Away was slow into stride, but the manner in which he ran on at the finish was eye-catching. He would have gained from the experience and will be at home over 1400m. With the natural improvement that is expected and from his good draw of three, he should take a power of beating.

GET IMPRESSED‘S last two starts have been good. He raced from just off the pace last time, but was outrun late by Sail To The Moon. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

OLIVER was in need of his comeback run over a mile last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He will strip much fitter and the cheekpieces may keep his mind on the task at hand.

Race 4

ONE WAY TRAFFIC ran a fair race in the Grade 3 World Pool Gold Cup last time. He returns from an 11- week break which may have done him the world of good. He has won three times from four starts on this course. He should have no issues with the drop to 1800m and with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle, he can return to winning ways.

SENSO UNICO won a game race in the Listed Hollywoodbets Settlers Trophy last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Twice Over jumps from a good draw of four and is one of the leading contenders.

MONEY HEIST ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and he cannot be ignored.

Race 5

SUDDEN SONG finished 0.75 lengths behind MUCHO DINERO last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 5yo gelding always gives of his best and may be rewarded for consistency.

MUCHO DINERO won a good race in his last start over 1800m on this course. He is unbeaten from two starts on this course. The son of Twice Over is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

IMPETUOUS finished 1.85 lengths behind the second choice in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter

Race 6

GREEN WITH ENVY was super-impressive when winning his seasonal debut over 1400m on this course. He ran on well and the manner in which he won going away, caught the eye. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and should love the rise to the mile. From his good draw of two, he should keep his unbeaten record intact.

. FUTURE TURN has good consistent form lines to his credit. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. He always gives of his best and merits obvious inclusion.

NATYAM followed up his maiden win with an impressive victory over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. The 13-week break would have done him the world of good. He does take on stronger, but has ability and can notch up the hat-trick.

Race 7

BEERENBERG has good consistent form lines to his credit. He ran on from last when second over 1000m on this course last time. It must be noted that Rod The Mod has come out and won again since. He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

STEINBECK stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Dance Variety. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.

SAN PEDRO ran a fair race over 1400m last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he should have no issues with the drop to 1250m. He jumps from a good draw of three and can show

Race 8

WINTER CLOUD is one of the better bets on today’s card. She ran on well in the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship last time, but found one too good in the form of Mrs Geriatrix. The daughter of What A Winter returns from a 19-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She has plenty of class about her and can notch up her fourth career victory.

BALTIC SECRET ran a good race when third in the Listed Somerset 1200 last time. The 16-week break may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the run, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

THE CHARLESTON was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 2 Debutante last time. The daughter of The United States has ability and if not in need of this outing, she should give a good account of herself
