Race 1

WARM WINTER NITE was not disgraced in the Non-Black Type Cape Racing Farm Sale Stakes last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. His penultimate run when second over this distance catches the eye. The son of What A Winter returns to Maiden Company and he can shed his maiden tag.

CONNERY is an unraced son of What A Winter from the Glen Kotzen stable with Raymond Danielson in the saddle. His mother, Jo’s Bond was an eight-time winner over 1000m. If not too green, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants in this contest.

JET GREEN finished 6.1 lengths behind the top choice on debut. She would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should finish in the placings.

Race 2

COASTAL COMMANDER has finished second in all three of his outings to date. He should have won his last start as he hung in the closing stages. The son of Lancaster Bomber should have no issues with the drop to 1250m and from pole position, he should shed his maiden tag.

KAAPSE KLOPSE ran a decent race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be one of the leading contenders.

FOUDRE is an unraced son of Fire Away from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. He is related to Grade 1 winners Rainbow Bridge, Hawwaam and Golden Ducat. If not in need of this outing, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first timers.

Race 3

GREETING MY MASTER produced a promising debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He showed pace and despite racing green, the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

TENANGO ran a decent race on debut over this C&D. He took time to find his feet, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

LINDBERGH returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Lancaster Bomber has plenty of scope and if not in need of the run, he can show improvement.

Race 4

STRATA is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. The daughter of Canford Cliffs placed in her only attempt on this course. She meets the right field this afternoon and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

RED MOON RISING has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the final 300m. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will strip a much fitter horse today and if keeping on a straight line, she should fight out the finish.

FATAL GEM stayed on when fourth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate returns from an 11-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 5

LUCE VERDE produced a promising debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He received a bump leaving the start, but the manner in which he finished off his race that day was eye-catching. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to the mile. With a bit of luck in running, he should take a power of beating.

DIAMOND ROCK stayed on when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The son of Erupt will love the rise to the mile and he is one of the leading contenders.

MARSHALL FIELD has decent recent form lines to his credit. He should strip a much fitter horse today and from pole position, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 6

TWO A PENNY showed very good improvement when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. The daughter of Twice Over can go one better.

PASSCHENDAELE was not disgraced when third over 1500m in the Listed WSB Irridescence Stakes last time. The daughter of Querari is a progressive type and will be cherry-ripe. If jumping on terms, she should throw out a challenge to the top choice.

MONTREAL has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. The daughter of Querari tries the mile and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may be hard to peg back

Race 7

NARINA TROGON is better than his last start over 1600m in soft going. His two starts prior to that outing were decent. The son of Silvano may be at his best over this distance and from his good draw of two, he is capable of returning to winning ways.

AUGUSTA BLUE challenged strongly in his last start over this distance, but was outrun by Que Shiraz. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of nine and will be running on.

MICHAEL FARADAY finished 1 length behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 8

QUESTIONING won a good race when shedding his maiden tag over 1200m under Bernard Fayd’Herbe. The manner in which he quickened up and drew clear of the opposition was encouraging. The son of Querari takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

LIKETHECLAPPERS has fair recent form lines to his name. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last start has come out and won since. He will strip a much fitter horse and is one of the leading contenders.

KIMBALL O’HARA has fair consistent form lines to his credit. He has dropped to a competitive rating and must be included in all bets
