It must be noted that Capitana has come out and won again since. The daughter of Ideal World looks progressive and from pole position, she should find herself in the winner's enclosure.

Andre Nel saddles five of the seven runners in this contest, but Justin Snaith could be the trainer to find himself in the winner's box. MAGNIFICENT SEVEN showed good signs of a form return when finishing sixth in the Gold Cup last time. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won five times, finished second once and third once from eight attempts over this distance. If putting his best foot forward, he should get back to winning ways.

QUEEN OF QUIET has good consistent form lines to her credit. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the latter stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She drops back to Handicap company this afternoon and may be too good for this field.

CELTILLUS' last start can be ignored as a jockey came down in front of him and his pilot did not persevere up the straight. His penultimate run when finishing fourth over ten furlongs catches the eye. He was unlucky not to have won that day as he had to shift in the closing stages. The son of Vercingetorix is above average and with a bit of luck in running, can cause the upset.
