Race 1

HEAD GIRL showed good speed in her last start over 1250m on this course, but was outrun late. Her debut effort when finishing second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth was encouraging. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade is a progressive type and with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

PRICELESS is an unraced daughter of Dynasty from the Brett Crawford yard with stable jockey Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Rose In Bloom and Do Angels Cry. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other first-timers.

CRIMSON WINGS is the stable companion of the second choice and she is a daughter of Rafeef. She is related to multiple winners including Dynasty’s Blossom and Brilliant Crimson. Corne Orffer is booked to ride and if not too green, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 2

STRAWBERRY LIGHT made the expected natural improvement when finishing second in her last start over 1250m on this course. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and from pole position, she should take a power of beating.

JAM JAM has improved in each of her outings to date. She raced from a prominent position last time and stayed on to finish third. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride and if confirming her recent improvement, she should pose a threat.

F EIGHT has run three fair races to date. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. If jumping on terms, she can finish in the first three.

Race 3

RUN FOR ME set the pace over this C&D last time, but was outrun late. Interestingly, the blinkers have been removed for this outing. However, the son of Master Of My Fate has plenty of scope and may be the one to side with.

INTIMIDATOR’S last three starts have been decent. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last start has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WILLIAM RUFUS improved his last start over 1250m on this course. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of William Longsword will love the rise to the 1400m and he may have more to come.

Race 4

PONTE PIETRA is the best bet on the programme. He produced a promising debut effort over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He lost a length at the start, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix would have strengthened up during his time off the track and in this type of field, he should shed his maiden tag.

NIGHT TIGER’S last two starts have been fair. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. The son of Rafeef may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

AUTUMN MOON has had excuses in his last three starts. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. On best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

INNAMORARE followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that Le Morne has come out and won again since. The son of Master Of My Fate should have no issues with the rise to the mile and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CHEEKY LADDIE stayed on at the finish in his course debut over 1250m last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is bred to enjoy the rise to 1600m. He does have the widest draw of ten to overcome, but gets the services of Keagan de Melo who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

CANFORD LIGHTS ran a good race in his last start over this C&D. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. Aldo Domeyer steps back into the saddle and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 6

SHANTASTIC was settled near the rear of the field last time and the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Rafeef will love the rise to 1400m and she should strip much fitter. She has class about her and can return to winning ways.

HAPPY CHANCE was ultra-impressive when winning her maiden over 1600m on this course last time. She clipped heels at the 1000m mark that day and almost came down. However, the manner in which she ran on and drew away from the opposition was eye-catching. She does take on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

FUR BABY won her maiden a lot easier than the margin suggests over this C&D last time. The daughter of Ideal World makes her Handicap debut, but she is in a good space and should give a good account of herself.

Race 7

ENCHANTED CREEK should have won her last start over 1600m on this course as she had no luck in the straight. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She meets a similar type of field and from pole position, she can notch up her second career victory.

CATTALEYA was running on when second over this C&D last time. The daughter of Silvano has ability and if repeating that effort in this type of field, she can go one better.

ACT NATURALLY finished 0.3 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 2kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around
