LADY HEIST showed good pace in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Scottsville, but found one too good in the form of Totally Rocks. She finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice on debut. She will enjoy the drop back to 1000m and merits healthy respect.
SEA OF TEARS finished 1.9 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 2
HONEY LAND produced a promising debut effort when fourth against winners over this C&D. She lost two lengths at the start, but the manner in which she stayed on at the business end was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She would have come on from the run and against Maiden company, she should take a power of beating.
CAPTAIN MARVEL showed very good improvement when fourth over this C&D last time. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.
SHANTASTIC is an unraced daughter of Rafeef from the Dean Kannemeyer yard with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. She is related to five-time winner Waterberry Lane. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
Race 3
WYLIE RILEY is the best bet on the programme. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1200m on the turf. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he had no luck in the straight. The son of Wylie Hall would have gained from the experience and against Maiden company, he should take a power of beating.
ENSUING should have finished closer to the winner last time as he received a bump at the start and shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He drops back to the 1400m and if keeping on a straight line, he should pose a massive threat.
EDDIE THE MOVER has decent form lines to his credit. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He jumps from pole position and if suited to the polytrack, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.
Race 4
FAMOUS AND RICH ran a good race on debut over this C&D. He was green in running, hung in the straight but finished his race off strongly. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Visionaire would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
UNIQUE POWER produced an eye-catching debut effort over this C&D. He was settled near the rear of the field and finished his race off strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Warren Kennedy takes the ride and he should be one of the leading contenders.
WAVE WARRIOR stayed on when second over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He should strip a much fitter horse today and must be included in all bets.
Race 5
DOUBLE DREAM followed up her debut victory with a good third-place finish over 1200m on this course. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day suggests that she will be at home over the 1400m. She has cracked a good draw of four and may be the one to side with.
WINTER’S DESTINY finished 0.35 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.
MVULAZANA was running on when third over this C&D, three weeks ago. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. Serino Moodley retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

QUE FOR YOU finished 1.95 lengths behind ROCKIE REEF last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice and finished second twice from eight starts over this distance. The 5yo mare will strip much fitter and can notch up her third career victory.
NAME OF THE GAME finished 1.75 lengths behind ROCKIE REEF in the race referred to above. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and should also turn the form around. She is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
ROCKIE REEF was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She meets a similar type of field this afternoon and if repeating that effort, she can follow up.

DUCHESS OF SUSSEX followed up her penultimate victory with a good third-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She is having her peak run today and may be the horse to beat.
BOOGIE SHOES stayed on nicely when sixth over 1400m on this course last time. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. Richard Fourie takes the ride and on her peak run, she can return to winning ways.

MR PIGALLE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He was running on nicely over 1400m last time, despite hanging in the closing stages. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He takes a slight drop in class and from his good draw of two, he can return to winning ways.
MAXIUMUS should have finished much closer last time as he had no luck in the straight. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
QUEUE WING ran a fair race when third over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. He has cracked a much better draw today and merits obvious inclusion
