Race 1

BELL STARBUSTER has finished second in her last three starts. She set the pace over this C&D last time, but was outrun late by Demigod. She returns from a 12-week break which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the run, she may be rewarded for consistency.

MIA LOA is lightly raced with decent form to her credit. She raced from a handy position last time, but found one too good in the form of Noble Storm. The daughter of Erupt will enjoy the rise to the mile and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ELUSIVE DREAM was in need of her comeback run over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and should strip a much fitter horse. She jumps from a good draw of two and should fight out the finish.

Race 2

NAVAL SECRET has fair recent form lines to his credit. He has won three times and finished third twice from nine starts on this course. He takes a big drop in class and from his mid-field draw, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

WALTON HALL finished 3.5 lengths behind THE APPEAL last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He carries a light mass of 48kgs and is one of the leading contenders.

THE APPEAL ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1900m on this course. He meets a similar type of field and can follow up.

Race 3

NAME OF THE GAME stayed on nicely at the finish over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Aerial View. She has dropped to a competitive rating and can notch up her second career victory.

EYE CATCHING’S last two starts on this course have been fair. She finished 1.05 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the wire.

ZANOBIAN PRINCESS was an easy winner of her last start over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of Coup De Grace takes on stronger, but she is lightly raced and has plenty of scope. 

Race 4

FEVER should have finished closer in his last start over 1550m on this course as he hung in the straight and his pilot dropped his reins at the 150m mark. He finished 2.5 lengths behind GALABIER in his penultimate effort and is 3kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won three times and finished third once from seven starts over this C&D. Serino Moodley steps back into the saddle and he should be the horse to beat.

GALABIER went from start to finish when winning his last start over this C&D. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break and if not in need of the run, he should run a big race.

HEY BILL’S last three starts have been good. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last start has come out and won since. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be competitive.

Race 5

ZANETTO was ultra-impressive when winning her last start over 1400m on this course. She set the pace, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She will have no issues with the drop to 1200m and from pole position, should take a power of beating.

MAIDENS PRAYER stayed on at the finish over this trip on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Diamond Girl. She has won once and finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. She jumps from a good draw of three and should pose a massive threat to the top choice.

CORNER CRUSADE was running on when second over this C&D last time. She takes a slight rise in class, but carries a handy galloping mass of 55kgs and should give a good account of herself.

Race 6

HER ROYAL MAJESTY finished 1.3 lengths behind POPPY OF BAYEUX last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. She finished 0.90 lengths behind BECKONING BEAUTY in her penultimate run and is 4kgs better off at the weights. She shows good speed in her races and may be hard to peg back.

POPPY OF BAYEUX returned to winning ways in fine style over this C&D last time. She meets a similar type of field today and can follow up.

BECKONING BEAUTY won a game race in her last start over this C&D. She has won once, finished second three times and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. She is in a good space and will be right there at the finish.

Race 7

GREY OCEAN stayed on strongly when finishing second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He finished 1.3 lengths behind CHARA SANDS in his penultimate run. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.

ONE TOO MANY produced a typical second run after a rest last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is having his peak run today and will be right there at the finish.

TRUE BRIT was unlucky last time as he clipped heels at the 1000m mark. It must be noted that Letaba has come out and won again since. He is having his first run on the Polytrack and with a bit of luck in running, he should go close.

IN CAHOOTS got up late when winning his last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. He has won once and finished second once from four starts on this course. He takes a drop in class and if all went well with his travels, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure. He is carded to race on 08 May 2022 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
