Race 1

BOUNDLESS BASH is one of the better bets on today’s programme. He made the natural improvement when finishing second over 1200m. He showed good speed and stayed on nicely at the business end. The son of Judpot will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and he is a progressive type. Donovan Dillon retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

EDDIE THE MOVER finished 1.6 lengths behind the top selection last time. He found plenty of betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. He will be at home over 1400m and is one of the leading contenders.

MESCAL hails from the visiting Paul Peter stable. It must be noted that Set To Go has come out and won again since as well as the third-placed runner. He is the stable elect with Warren Kennedy in the saddle and he should have improvement to come.

Race 2

RED SOLE has finished second in his last five starts. He stayed on at the finish over 1200m last time, but found one too good in the form of Pedro. He has finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. The son of Master Of My Fate will strip a much fitter horse and he can shed his maiden tag.

BEECHURST has run two decent races since joining the Garth Puller stable. He returns to the turf and gets the services of in-form Anton Marcus. From pole position, he should fight out the finish.

SPY MASTER produced a promising debut effort in a small field over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that Imilenzeyokududuma has come out and won again since. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should improve to be competitive.

Race 3

MILKTART ran a good race on debut over 1000m on the Polytrack. She was slow into stride, understandably raced green but stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Captain Of All would have gained from the experience and will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the horse to beat.

CLAUDINA’S last four starts have been fair. She returns from a 10-week break which may have done her the world of good. She jumps from a good draw of three and she can fill the exacta spot.

COLUMBIA ROAD is an unraced daughter of Flower Alley from the Tony Rivalland yard with Sean Veale in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Talk Of The Town. If not too green, she should get her career off to a positive start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

Race 4

GREY VIEW is still a maiden after ten starts, but has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that Mr Molony has come out and won again since as well as the third-placed runner. He has finished second twice and third twice from five starts over this distance. Anton Marcus takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of the son of Greys Inn.

RAVENS SWORD finished 3.05 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The son of William Longsword would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.

AMERICAN DREAM ran a fair race on debut over this trip at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He lost a length at the start, but stayed on at the finish. The son of Jay Peg may be at his best when trying further, but he should make the natural progression.

Race 5

TRITON ran a good race when finishing second over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, three weeks ago. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Jackson tries the 2100m for the first time and in this type of field, he can shed his maiden tag.

MADIBA’S CUPPA was running on strongly when second over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and he should pose a massive threat.

COLOUR MASTER finished 1.05 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

Race 6

PETRA showed good signs of a form return in her last start over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. It must be noted that Time To Roll has come out and won again since. The drop to 1000m should not pose a concern as she won her only attempt over this C&D. Anton Marcus takes the ride and she may be the horse to side with.

LADY CATHERINE has good consistent form lines to her credit. She finished 0.4 lengths behind AUNTY LIZZY last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has her first run on the turf track and may be hard to peg back.

CALULO finished 2.2 lengths behind AUNTY LIZZY in the race referred to above. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today. Warren Kennedy retains the ride and the combination will be staying on at the finish.

Race 7

LOVE BOMB’S last two starts have been good. The manner in which she finished off her race last time was encouraging. She finished 1.3 lengths behind SOCRATES in her penultimate run. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she may return to winning ways.

BOLD RANSOM ran a good race when third over this distance at the Vaal last time. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance. If all went well with his travels, he should pose a massive threat.

SOCRATES has top consistent form lines to his credit. He has won once, finished second three times and third twice from nine starts on this course. The 7yo gelding always gives of his best and merits healthy respect.

Race 8

AL’S MY DADDY was not disgraced when finishing fourth in the Non-Black Type Fever Tree Stakes last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D, three runs ago. The son of Captain Al is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

CORAPI followed up his maiden win with a decent fifth-place finish over 1400m at the Vaal. He carries another handy galloping mass of 53kgs and has plenty of scope.

WINTER WAVES has been impressive in his last two victories. The son of What A Winter takes a rise in class, but he is in a good space and the hat-trick is on the cards
