GUY FOX raced from a handy position over 1200m last time, but was outrun late. He finished second in his penultimate effort over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
GERONIMO was a tad disappointing in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. On best form shown, he should fight out the finish.
Race 2
AMARANDI has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She showed good speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post. The daughter of What A Winter is a progressive type and can go one better in this line-up.
TOP HONOURS‘ last three starts have been good. She has been reported to be distressed after her last two starts. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. The drop back to 1200m may suit her well and she is one of the leading contenders.
AJRAAS ran a fair race on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Rafeef would have gained from the experience. She may be at her best when trying further, but should have good improvement to come.

FULL BLAST caught the eye when running on to finish fifth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Captain Of All takes a drop in class and will strip much fitter. From his good draw of four, he will be able to race closer to the speed and notch up his third career victory.
SEA MASTER ran a good race when finishing fourth in his comeback run over this C&D. The slight concern for the son of Master Of My Fate is that the blinkers have been removed for this outing. He should strip much fitter though and will be staying on at the finish.
VIA SALARIA lost a length at the start last time, but ran on strongly to finish second. He has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this distance. If jumping on terms, he should fight out the finish.
Race 4
This is a weak Maiden Plate for the girls and caution is advised. The narrow first selection is ARIZONA LADY from the visiting Johan Janse van Vuuren stable. She raced from a handy position over 2000m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Stunning Kitten. She gets the blinkers re-fitted this afternoon which should keep her mind on the task at hand. Anton Marcus takes the ride and the pair may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
GOLDEN DELIGHT ran a decent race when finishing second over 2000m on this course last time. She runs well for Muzi Yeni and she is one of the leading contenders.
PARK AND FLY is much better than her last start as she raced wide around the turn. Her penultimate run when finishing second over 1600m catches the eye. Diego de Gouveia takes the ride and with a bit of luck in running, she should go close to winning.
Race 5
ATOMIC BLONDE showed good signs of a form return over this distance at the Vaal last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished third has come out and won since. He jumps from a good draw of four and if all went well with his travels, he should be the one to beat.
A WHOLE NEW WORLD won a good race in his last start over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will have no issues with the 2400m. The son of Ideal World is in a good space and can follow up.
TEICHMAN finished 2 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

SOUND OF SUMMER was running on nicely at the finish over this distance at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Donald Mcdonald. He jumps from pole position and if all went well with his travels, he can notch up his sixth career victory.
CROWN TOWERS had his own way in front over 1800m last time and won with a ton in hand. Five of his eight career victories have come on this course. He carries top weight of 61.5kgs, but carries big masses well and merits healthy respect.
IKIGAI was not disgraced when finishing fourth in the Grade 3 Merchants last time. He has won over the mile in the past. On best form shown, he is capable of fighting out the finish against a field of this nature.
Race 7
ZIMBABA ran a good race when finishing third in the Grade 3 Magnolia Handicap last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form has been franked. The daughter of Legislate should strip much fitter this afternoon and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she can return to winning ways.
LOVE BOMB is much better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss. Her penultimate run when finishing second over 1200m on the Polytrack catches the eye. Marco van Rensburg retains the ride and on best form shown, she should pose a threat.
FREESTATE STAR stayed on when finishing third over 1200m in her comeback run. She has won once and finished third once from three starts over this C&D. The daughter of Master Of My Fate will strip much fitter today and can return to winning ways.

SPIRIT OF MY FATE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this distance. The son of Master Of My Fate may be rewarded for consistency in this field.
PRINCE OF TARANTO finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms this afternoon and he may have to settle for the same result. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. He should strip much fitter and merits obvious inclusion.
FARLAND moved up like a winner over 1600m last time, but was outrun late by Master Of Destiny. He finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate effort. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

FRENCH MASTERPIECE is better than his last start over 1600m as he raced wide around the turn. It must be noted that the form of that run has been franked. His two previous outings over this distance were encouraging. He has cracked a good draw this afternoon and can shed his maiden tag.
GIAMBATTISTA has produced three encouraging efforts to date. He raced from a handy position over 1600m last time and stayed on to finish third. The 1400m should be right up his alley and he should be one of the leading contenders.
PURPLE OPERATOR has fair recent form lines to his credit. The son of Captain Of All has a wide draw to contend with, but he is likely to use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy
