Race 1:

HASTA MANANA has finished second in both his starts to date. He showed good speed last time but found one to good in the form of Gimme A Prince. The son of William Longsword is bred to enjoy the step up to the 1500m. He jumps from a good draw of three and should shed his maiden tag.

ARUMUGAM produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course. He finished 2.4 lengths behind the top choice that day. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.

BUSH TRACKER’S last start against winners was fair. The son of Elusive Fort should enjoy the extra distance on offer and back in Maiden Company, he should run into the money.

Race 2:

NEVERENDING LOVE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She has finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. She is back against her own sex today and S’manga Khumalo may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

BAY OF DREAMS‘ last start can be ignored as she was reported to be fatigued. It must be noted that Kailene has come out and won again since. Doug Campbell has found some form in recent weeks and this daughter of Miesque’s Approval cannot be ignored.

TOP HONOURS has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She returns from a 17-week break which may have done her the world of good. The daughter of Main Aim should enjoy the rise in distance and if not in need of the run, she should be competitive.

Race 3:

BELLA SICCOME showed good improvement when finishing second against winners last time. She set the pace, but found one too good in the form of Kailene. The daughter of Silvano is back in Maiden Company today and with Warren Kennedy retaining the ride, she should go one better here.

OWLETTE showed good improvement in her last start over 1200m on this course. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish suggests that she will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. The daughter of Jackson looks progressive and should be one of the leading contenders.

QUENANZA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that the form of her last start has been franked. Her best effort has been under Lyle Hewitson and she cannot be ignored.

Race 4:

RED RISING ran a good race on debut over this C&D. She had to switch at the 300m mark and was reported to have a mouth injury. The daughter of Captain Of All would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to side with.

AIRBUZZ is still a maiden after 11 starts, but her last two outings have been decent. The drop to the minimum trip is a slight concern, but it is encouraging that Richard Fourie keeps faith in the ride.

COUNTESS CARTIER was a tad disappointing in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She returns from a 20-week break which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 5:

This is a competitive Merit Rated 82 Handicap and caution is advised. The narrow first selection is RETAIL THERAPY from the Wayne Badenhorst and Barbara Kennedy stable. She has won three times, finished second once and third once from seven starts on this course. She drops back to the minimum trip and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

BEAT IT finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

MISS GENEROSITY finished 0.45 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the tables.

Race 6:

MASTER OFTHE NORTH showed very good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He set the pace that day, but was outrun in the latter stages. The son of Master Of My Fate does not meet the strongest field today and can go one better.

DEORSA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. The son of Soft Falling Rain tries the 2000m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should pose a threat.

COMMAND COUNCIL should have finished closer last time. It must be noted that there have been multiple winners from that form line. He tries the polytrack for the first time and if suited to the surface, he should go close.

Race 7:

LION’S HEAD was impressive when winning his last start over 1900m on this course. The son of Dynasty has class about him and should have no issues with the drop in trip. From his good draw of two, he can notch up his third career victory.

MAGICAL MIDLANDS finished 1.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights, but LION’S HEAD won easier than the official margin suggests. He gets the blinkers fitted today which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

MAITLAND MAGIC is much better than his last start suggests. He was impressive when winning his penultimate race over 1400m on this course. The son of Silvano tries the 1700m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should go close.

Race 8:

LOVING THE VICTORY moved up like a winner last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post. The daughter of Coup De Grace has a wide draw to overcome, but she should use her early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. In this type of field, she can shed her maiden tag.

MEZZYOONA ran a good race when finishing third over 1000m on this course last time. The daughter of Var should enjoy the extra furlong on offer and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

GOLDEN TRIP was disappointing in her last start with the ear muffs fitted. Her first two career outings were decent. The daughter of Trippi tries the polytrack and if suited to the surface, she should feature
