Race 1

ELECTRIC FEELS showed good improvement in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. How she ran on at the finish that day was eye-catching. The daughter of William Longsword tries the straight course for the first time and if suited, she can go one better.

HEAD GIRL finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line. She shows good pace in her races and may be hard to peg back.

EVERLASTING has shown improvement in her last three starts. The daughter of What A Winter should enjoy the drop to 1000m and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she should run into the money.

Race 2

CHARLIE MALONE has been disappointing in his last two starts. He has finished second once and third twice from as many starts over this C&D. He meets the right field this afternoon and on best form shown, he is capable of shedding his maiden tag.

TRIPPI T was in need of his debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Trippi would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be competitive.

SERVILIUS is an unraced son of Pathfork from the Dennis Drier stable with Sean Veale in the saddle. He is related to three-time winner Sir Caleb. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this line-up. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 3

CARRIACOU should have won his last start in a workriders contest as he hung outwards in the closing stages. The son of Captain Of All will love the step up to 1400m and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should go one better.

PROMETTERE has produced two decent races to date. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, he should pose a massive threat to the top choice.

HOLY ORDERS showed very good improvement in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He set the pace, but was caught late by Ponte Pietra. Richard Fourie retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be hard to peg back.

Race 4

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN produced a promising debut effort over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. Despite hanging from the 200m mark, the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Dynasty would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1400m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

LAUGHING WILLIAM showed good improvement when finishing third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of William Longsword is a progressive type and should be one of the leading contenders.

CHARLIE CROKER has good consistent form lines to his credit. He got going too late over 1250m last time and finished second. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and merits healthy respect.

Race 5

SAARTJIE produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1200m. She was slow into stride, but the manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Dynasty would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1400m. Grant van Niekerk takes the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

LOVE RULES had excuses in her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. Her penultimate run when finishing second over this C&D catches the eye. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ELLA’S DELIGHT stayed on nicely when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She jumps from pole position and is one of the leading contenders.

Race 6

SWIFT ACTION’S last three starts at Hollywoodbets Durbanville have been decent. He showed good speed over 1250m last time, but tired in the latter stages. His penultimate run when finishing third over this distance was encouraging. He meets the right field this afternoon and can return to winning ways.

JURY DUTY stayed on when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. She has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She is likely to race on the speed and will give the males a run for their money.

VARISTOCRACY was in need of his comeback run over 1200m on this course. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. The son of Var takes a drop in class and will strip much fitter. With Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he should be competitive.

Race 7

This is a competitive The Bantry Bay Stakes field and caution is advised. The tentative first choice is TRIP OF FORTUNE from the Candice Bass-Robinson yard. He won the Grade 3 Hollywoodbets Matchem Stakes in the boardroom after receiving a bump at the 100m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Trippi is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

RIO QUERARI returns from a lengthy 37-week break. The classy sprinter has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. If not in need of this outing, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

KOMMETDIEDING fought hard in the Grade 1 Champions Cup last time, but found one too good in the form of Jet Dark who has come out and won again since. He is unbeaten over this C&D, but has bigger plans for the season ahead.

Race 8

GOLDEN HOSTESS won a game race in her last start over this C&D. Despite getting cramped for galloping room at the 200m mark, she ran on strongly to get the better of HOLD MY HAND. The daughter of Gold Standard would have come on from the run. She is drawn widest of all in barrier thirteen, but gets the services of Aldo Domeyer who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

HOLD MY HAND challenged strongly in her last start, but was outrun late. She will strip a much fitter horse today and merits healthy respect.

WHO DO YOU LOVE finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. She was an impressive winner of her first three career outings. The daughter of Rafeef will strip a much fitter horse and with a bit of luck, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 9

CHAMPION WARRIOR is the best bet on the card. He has been super-impressive in both his career victories to date. The manner in which he quickened up and won his last start was eye-catching. The son of Twice Over looks to have plenty of class about him and should keep his unbeaten record intact.

TOUT A FAIT set the pace over this distance last time, but found one too good in the form of Silvano’s Dasher. He has won three times and finished third once from six starts over this C&D. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of him.

BEERENBERG won a good race in his stable debut over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He has finished second twice and third twice from five starts on this course. He takes a rise in class, but is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick
