QUE SHIRAZ should have won on debut as he was held up for a run between the 200m mark and the 150m mark. The son of Querari would have gained from the experience and with a bit of luck in running, he should take a power of beating.

CRACKLIN’ ROSE is the best bet on the card. She understandably raced green on debut, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Elusive Fort would have gained from the experience and with Greg Cheyne in the saddle, she should go one better.

MAJESTIC MOZART’S last three starts have been good. The manner in which he finished off his last outing over a mile was encouraging. He is having his peak run this afternoon and should be cherry- ripe. He will enjoy the step up in distance and should return to winning ways.
