Race 1

SYMPHONY IN WHITE should have finished closer in the Grade 3 City Of Cape Town Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. She returns from a 10-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of What A Winter won a good race on debut over 1200m on this course. If not in need of this outing, she should be the one to beat.

KINDA WONDERFUL was an easy winner at the second time of asking, despite the saddle reported to have slipped in running. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and she is one of the leading contenders.

BE MERRY showed good speed over this C&D last time, but was caught late by Furious Queen. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she should be involved at the finish.

Race 2

ONE STRIPE was super-impressive when winning the Grade 3 City Of Cape Town Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. He showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The son of One World has class about him and he should notch up the hat-trick.

LION RAMPART won a good race in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He finished 3.2 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run and may have to settle for the same result.

ROMAN AGENT finished 5.2 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He won his penultimate start over this C&D. If putting his best foot forward, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

SOUND OF THE SEA showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position and stayed on to finish second. The son of Talk Of The Town is a progressive sort and should strip much fitter. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he can go one better.

STATED finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

ALL OUT FOR SIX finished 0.35 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He over raced in the early stages, but stayed on at the finish. If Ashton Arries is able to switch him off early, he should be involved at the finish.

Race 4

BAGATELLE FLASH was running on when second in his last start over this C&D. The tongue-tie seems to have done the trick on the son of Gold Standard. He meets the right field this afternoon and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

UN BEL DI is better than his last start as he was reported to be fatigued. He returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MANEKI NEKO challenged strongly in his last start, but found one too good in the form of Connery. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride and he may be rewarded for consistency.

Race 5

LUCKY THIRTEEN finished 1.15 lengths behind SANSA STARK last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of The United States is likely to race on the speed with 53.5kgs and she can shed her maiden tag.

ENGLISH MISTRESS finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice in her last start. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables today. The daughter of Master Of My Fate will be mowing down the frontrunners.

SANSA STARK should have won her last start as she hung in the final 150m. She will enjoy the rise to 1800m and if keeping on a straight line, she can go one better.

Race 6

RAPIDASH is much better than his last start in the Grade 1 SplashOut Cape Derby. He returns from a 10-week break which would have done him the world of good. His previous three outings were good. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw of eight and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.

RASCALLION was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1600m on this course. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

FUTURE PRINCE finished 1.55 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 7

RED PALACE was in need of her last start in the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this distance. It is encouraging that Anthony Andrews steps back into the saddle. He is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and she may be hard to peg back.

GOLD POKER GAME ran a fair race over 1200m last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but Aldo Domeyer should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

RAINBOW LORIKEET is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was in the Listed Schweppes Cape Fillies Classic. She is not the stable elect but runs well for Morne Winnaar and she cannot be ignored.

Race 8

KATSU finished 1.75 lengths behind ALLEZ MORIS last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The tongue-tie has done the trick on the son of Louis The King. From his good draw of two, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.

ALLEZ MORIS moved up like a winner over 2200m last time, but was outrun late by Love Is A Rose. He won his penultimate start over this C&D. He is in a good space and is one of the leading contenders.

VOORLOOPERTJIE followed up his maiden win with a good second-place finish over this C&D. He takes another rise in class, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 9

SUN DAZED finished 1.7 lengths behind Meu Capitano last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. On his best form shown, he should be involved at the finish.

SILVER CROWN tried hard when second in his last start over this C&D. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be competitive.

DUMBLEDORE finished 1.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish
