His trainer is no stranger to getting his horses fit for their return and the son of Silvano has a very good chance of shedding his maiden tag today.

SUDDEN STAR ran a very good race when finishing under a length behind the winner in his last start over ten furlongs on this course. He raced from a handy position that day, but was outrun in the shadow of the post. The drop in trip should not pose an issue and with a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be the one they all have to beat.

SPIRIT FESTIVAL ran a very good race when finishing 2nd last time. She showed plenty of speed that day and challenged all the way to the finishing post. She gets the services of a 4kgs claiming apprentice this afternoon which should help her chances. The daughter of Querari may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

MIRACULOUSLY OURS was in need of his last start over a distance too short. He would have come on from that run and will enjoy the step up in distance today. The son of Silvano should strip a much fitter horse and with Morne Winnaar back in the saddle, he should be the one to side with here.
