Race 1

SUPERIOR FORCE produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He raced wide around the turn, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. The son of Pathfork would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he can go one better.

SILVER DUCAT finished 0.7 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The son of What A Winter cost himself winning that day as he hung in the latter stages. He may be better suited to the straight course and should be competitive.

ODE TO THE OCEAN hails from the visiting Paul Peter stable. She showed good speed that day, but was reported to have been cut into on her left hind. The daughter of What A Winter will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 2

GENERAL HANCOCK has shown good improvement in his last three starts with the blinkers and tongue-tie fitted. He should have won that day as he hung from the 400m mark. The son of What A Winter meets the right field this afternoon and if all went well with his travels, he can shed his maiden tag.

SENOR GARCIA showed very good improvement in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. That was his first run as a gelding which seems to have done the trick. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be one of the leading contenders.

MCCARTNEY showed some improvement in his last start over this C&D. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Trippi looks to be a progressive type and should have more to come.

Race 3

NAPOLEON is the best bet on the card. He showed good improvement in his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will be at home over the mile. The son of Rafeef does not meet the strongest field and with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle, he should shed his maiden tag.

PURPLE OPERATOR should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the latter stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. His best career effort has been on this course and from his mid-field draw, should pose a massive threat.

ETIQUETTE showed some improvement in his last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. He lost two lengths at the start, but stayed on nicely to finish fourth. The son of Noble Tune will love the rise to 1600m and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

AIRWAYS LAW followed up his maiden victory with an equally impressive win over 1600m on the Polytrack. The manner in which he quickened up and drew clear of the opposition was eye-catching. The son of Legislate looks to have ability and if suited to the turf, he can notch up the hat-trick.

SPIRIT OF MY FATE has finished third in his last three starts. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1750m. He jumps from a good draw of three and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

DON’T TOUCH ME was unlucky over 1600m last time as he had to be eased in the latter stages. There is not much pace in this race and he may have his own way in front. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and the combination may be hard to peg back.

Race 5

TWICETHEQUALITY fought hard when finishing third in the Non-Black Type River Indigo Handicap last time. She drops back in class and is in a very good space. The daughter of Twice Over makes her course debut and if suited to the track, may be rewarded for consistency.

CHANTY LANE was an easy winner over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville, four weeks ago. The daughter of Pathfork meets a similar type of field this afternoon and can follow up.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE set the pace in her last start over 1600m, but found one too good in the form of Time To Roll who has won again since. She is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. The daughter of Vercingetorix takes a rise in class, but she has ability and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 6

CHANTYMAN returned to winning ways in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won twice, finished second three times and third once from seven starts over this C&D. His best form has been under Anton Marcus and he can notch up his eleventh career victory.

SPYDAS CORNER finished 1.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the tables. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. He should strip much fitter and merits healthy respect.

ISHNANA showed good signs of a form return over 1200m last time. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Siphesihle Hlengwa which should help his cause.

Race 7

PURPLE MERCHANT had to overcome a wide draw in her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Her penultimate run when finishing second over this C&D catches the eye. She takes a slight drop in class and despite her big mass of 62kgs, she can return to winning ways. She is carded to race on 16 December 2021 and her progress in that race will need to be checked.

FLYING THE STAR is much better than her last start as she was reported to be coughing. She has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eight starts on this course. On best form shown, she should fight out the finish.

KITTEN’S ADVENTURE followed up her maiden victory with an encouraging fourth-place finish over this C&D. She returns from a 14-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Admiral Kitten has plenty of scope and with 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Cole Dicken in the saddle, she should go close to winning.

Race 8

WE ALL CHOMIES was doing his best work at the finish over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has finished second in both his career efforts on this course. The 5yo gelding continues to drop in the ratings and with Gareth Wright in the saddle, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

WHITE CEDAR set the pace in his last start over this distance on the Polytrack and stayed on to finish fourth. He was reported to be cut into on his right hind leg that day which didn’t help his chances. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi and with just 50.5kgs on his back, he can return to winning ways.

ALFONSA SPAGONI produced a decent comeback run over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He was awkwardly placed at the 700m mark that day, but stayed on nicely at the finish. His distance record is a slight concern, but he drops in class and can earn a cheque
