PRINCESS CALLA was not disgraced when finishing fifth in the Grade 1 Cape Town Met last time. She was cramped for galloping room at the 1400m mark and was reported to have a mouth injury. The daughter of Flower Alley won her only attempt over this distance. She takes a drop in class this afternoon and if suited to the track, she should take a power of beating.
Race 7: SEEKING THE STAR (9)

SEEKING THE STARS should have finished closer in the Grade 1 Cape Guineas last time as he hung in the latter stages. He was ultra-impressive when winning his two starts prior to that over today's distance. He returns from a 15-week break today, during which time he would have strengthened up. Anton Marcus takes the ride on his return and the combination should find themselves in the winner's enclosure.

ALFONSA SPAGONI showed very good signs of a form return in his last start over this C&D. He should have won that day as he had to switch at the 300m mark.
