Race 1

CAN’T CATCH ME was her own worst enemy over 1400m last time as she overraced in the early stages. She returns from a 10-week break which would have done her the world of good. She will enjoy the drop to 1200m and in this line-up, she can shed her maiden tag.

ROYAL OASIS is better than her last start over this C&D, against male company. Her penultimate run when second over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville Polytrack was encouraging. She runs well for Keagan de Melo and she can earn another cheque for her patrons.

PRETTY ANALIA showed good improvement in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She was slow into stride, but raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. If repeating that effort in this line-up, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 2

SUPER FAST rallied late when second over 1000m on this course last time. The son of Querari will love the step up to 1400m and he should strip a much fitter horse. He meets the right field this afternoon and from his good draw of two, he should take a power of beating.

OSHAKATI has finished second in his last three starts. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last outing has come out and won since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m and he is one of the leading contenders.

GIANTS CASTLE ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. It must be noted that Aerial Display has come out and won again since. He will strip a much fitter horse today and can run into the placings.

Race 3

GELSOMINA finished 0.7 lengths behind I’VE GOT WINGS last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If Keagan de Melo is able to switch her off early, she is capable of notching up her first career victory.

MADAME ZABRE ran a good race when second over 1400m on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack last time. She has finished fourth over this C&D in the past and should pose a massive threat to the top choice.

I’VE GOT WINGS stayed on when second over this distance last time. 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi retains the ride and she must be included in all bets.

Race 4

JOHNNY’S HOPE was no match for the winner over 2000m on the Polytrack last time. He ran a decent race when third in his penultimate effort over 1900m on the Hollywoodbets Greyville turf track. The son of Canford Cliffs should have no issues with the rise to 2400m and Richard Fourie may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

TRITON took the lead at the 400m mark last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Majestic Warrior. He finished second in his only attempt on this course. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be competitive.

LA DREAMER may be the first filly past the post. She stayed on when second over 1950m on this course last time. The daughter of Capetown Noir has no stamina issues and she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 5

SPLASH OF GREEN ran a fair race in her last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. She was squeezed leaving the starting stalls and was reported to be cut into. The manner in which she finished off her penultimate run suggests that she will love the rise to 1750m. If suited to this course, she can notch up her second career victory.

CATALEYA SUMMER has produced two good efforts since winning her maiden. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She does have a wide draw to contend with, but gets the services of Keagan de Melo who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

RECKLESS LOVE finished 1.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 6

SEA MASTER is much better than his last start in the Non-Black Type WSB Grand Heritage. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance. He is suited to this course and on best form shown, he is capable of returning to winning ways.

BOUNDLESS BASH was caught in the shadow of the post by Manhatten Cafe last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. He is likely to race on the speed once again and may be hard to peg back.

IRON WILL should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be steadied at the 250m mark. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance. With his light mass of 50.5kgs, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7

COUNT MARSH has top consistent form lines to his credit. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in his last outing has come out and won since. He has won twice, finished second twice and third three times from ten starts over this distance. He finished second in his only attempt on this course and can notch up his fifth career victory.

DIANI is a winner of his last three starts, the latest of which was over this distance on the Polytrack. He returns from a well-deserved 13-week break. If not in need of the run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

MASTER OF LAW ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. Muzi Yeni takes the ride and the pair must be included in all bets.

Race 8

VISION OF WILL ran a good race when second over this distance on the Polytrack last time. She finished 0.1 lengths behind OUR EMILY that day. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them in the run down to the line. Richard Fourie takes the ride and she can go one better.

OUR EMILY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this distance. She would have come on from the run and can follow up.

FLYING THE STAR finished 1.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line
