Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1
Nine of the horses in this contest are unraced Juveniles and the betting market will be the best guide with regards to their chances. RIVER QUERARESS is the only raced runner in this race. She should have finished closer to the winner on debut as she hung throughout the race. The daughter of Querari would have come on with the run under her belt and should have plenty of improvement to come. If all went well with her travels, she may be the one to beat.
ADITI is a daughter of Querari from the Yogas Govender stable with Ashton Arries up. She is related to two-time winner Makara. If not in need of the run, she should get her career off to a positive start.
RED ROSES TOO is a daughter of Captain Of All from the Dennis Drier yard with Sean Veale in the saddle. If not too green, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 2
GERONIMO’S last two starts over this distance have been decent. He returns to Hollywoodbets Scottsville and meets the right field. Donovan Dillon retains the ride and the combination may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
DRONFIELD hails from the visiting Paul Peter stable. He showed good speed in his last start over 1200m, but found one too good in the form of Lulu’s Boy. He is a progressive type and with Warren Kennedy in the saddle, he should be one of the leading contenders.
PERFECT APPEAL is a filly taking on the males. Her last three starts have been decent. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of the daughter of Crusade.
Race 3
SKY CAFE made good natural improvement when finishing third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Toreador looks progressive and if suited to the straight course, she should be the one to beat.
ANGEL OF JUSTICE finished 0.6 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The daughter of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement.
AMARANDI showed some improvement when finishing 1 length behind the top selection last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. Warren Kennedy takes the ride and there may be more to come from the daughter of What A Winter.
Race 4
BRISTOLBEAUFIGHTER should have finished on top of the winner last time as he had to be switched at the 300m mark. He is having his second run after a rest today and should strip much fitter. It is encouraging that jockey Warren Kennedy steps into the saddle and with a bit of luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag.
IDEAL ACT has shown improvement in each of his outings to date. He returns from an 11-week break which may have done him the world of good. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
BEECHAMWOOD BOY has run three good races to date. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. The widest draw of thirteen is an obvious concern but with some luck, he should fight out the finish.
Race 5
LAUREL LANE was her own worst enemy over 2000m last time as she overraced in the early stages. Her penultimate run when finishing fifth against stronger company catches the eye. She continues to drop in the ratings and with Muzi Yeni back in the saddle, she may be the one to side with in this type of field.
TO THE MAX’S last two starts over 1600m on the Polytrack have been fair. She has finished second once and third once from four starts on this course. She does have a wide draw of thirteen to overcome, but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
GREEN DREAM was awkwardly placed in the early stages of her last start, but finished her race off strongly. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She makes her course debut and if suited to the track, she should be competitive.
Race 6
ARCTIC PRINCESS ran a decent race against slightly stronger over 1400m on the Polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Her effort when finishing second over 1200m on this course three runs ago, catches the eye. The blinkers get removed for this outing, but she tries a set of cheekpieces. Gavin Lerena takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
TWICEASFAST was an easy winner in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She returns from a well-deserved 14-week break this afternoon. She won her maiden over this C&D and must be included in all bets.
DIAMOND GIRL followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1400m on the polytrack. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. If not in need of this run, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 7
MASTER VISION showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He moved up like a winner that day, but was outrun in the latter stages. The son of Visionaire has dropped to a competitive rating and if confirming his recent improvement, he should go close to winning.
A WHOLE NEW WORLD was running on nicely to finish fourth over 1600m last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
TEICHMAN cast a shoe in running last time which didn’t help his chances. He finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate effort. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 8
ROTUNDA produced a promising debut effort over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. She would have come on with the run under her belt and should love the rise to the mile. With the natural improvement that is expected, the daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should take a power of beating.
LILY OF ORANGE’S last three starts have been good. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade is having her first run on this course and if suited to the track, she should fight out the finish.
ROCKIE REEF finished 1 length behind the second selection last time. She raced wide that day, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest
