The battle for 2nd will be very interesting as most of the remaining entrants are badly off form.

TIMKAT continues to improve in this province and the versatile gelding had an impressive last feature effort over the minimum trip nine days ago. The Fort Wood gelding was runner-up in that event and was in turn nearly seven lengths clear of the next placed entrant, the useful sprinter Rock A Bye Baby. Of course, he wasn't penalized due to the technicality and the four-year-old is extremely well-handicapped over this suitable distance today.
