She is the only winner in this contest and should remain unbeaten.

MERCANTOUR should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be steadied at the 150m mark. He won a good race in his penultimate start over this distance at the Vaal. The son of Var has ability and from his good draw of two, he can return to winning ways.

ARILENA produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1160m on the Standside course. She showed good speed, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Antigua Night. The daughter of Silvano would have come on from the run and if not too green around the turn, she can go one better.

CASTLETOWN was doing his best work late when finishing third behind William Robertson last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He returns to Handicap company this afternoon and should be too good for this field.
