WINTER SMOKE was an impressive winner of her last start over six furlongs on the polytrack. Despite hanging in the latter stages, she won a lot easier than the official margin suggests. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Aldo Domeyer makes the trip up from Cape Town to ride the daughter of What A Winter and the combination should take a power of beating.

SOUL CONNECTION has run two very good races after shedding his maiden tag. He raced from just off the pace last time, but found one too good in the form of Spanish Boy who has won again since. The son of Vercingetorix has won twice, finished second once and third three times from seven attempts over this trip. Aldo Domeyer takes the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner's enclosure.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE is a filly taking on the males. She is much better than her last start suggests. The run that catches the eye is when finishing second over six furlongs on this course, three runs ago. She comes into the race with a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and with Piere Strydom retaining the ride, she can go close to winning.
