AFRICAN ADVENTURE has good recent form lines to his credit. He was running on to finish second in his last start behind Dance Class over this distance at Turffontein. He has won twice from six starts on this course. If not too far out of his ground, he should notch up his fifth career victory. 

Race 6: VARS VICKY (7)

Jockey: Yeni M - Trainer: Pettigrew S 

VARS VICKY is lightly raced with good form to his credit. He looked a winner in his last start, but was caught in the shadow of the post by a decent type in the form of Paisley Park. The son of Var is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Muzi Yeni takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

FLY AWAY was disappointing in a feature race before given a lengthy 50-week break. The daughter of What A Winter was ultra-impressive when winning her two starts prior to that over this C&D in a fast time. She is above average and if not in need of the run, can notch up her fourth career victory.

MIND READER has top consistent form lines to her credit. She finished a neck behind VARINA in her last start. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Visionaire will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line
