FSQUADRON is one of the better bets on today's card. He ran a good race when finishing third behind Have A Go Jo over a mile at Turffontein last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. He is the best weighted runner in this contest and from his good draw of three, he can get back to winning ways.

DICE THE BULLET ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D last time. She raced from a handy position that day and stayed on well at the finish. She meets a similar type of field this afternoon and can go one better.

This is a competitive MR 96 Handicap and caution is advised. The narrow first choice is CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT from the Ashley Fortune stable. He was not disgraced when finishing 2.5 lengths behind the winner in the Grade 3 Lebelo Sprint last time. The son of Captain Of All is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Calvin Habib does duty and the combination will be staying on strongly in the run down to the line.
