CALIBRE CREST produced a decent debut effort over 1200m on this course. He showed good pace that day, but had to be steadied at the 300m mark. It must be noted that Another Thief has come out and won again since. The son of Twice Over would have gained from the experience and will love the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

DUKE OF RAIN has produced two good runs since winning his maiden. He was slow into stride over this C&D last time, but stayed on at the finish. The son of Duke Of Marmalade takes a drop in class and from pole position, he can return to winning ways.
