LACONIA has shown up well since stepping up to this trip in her last two starts. That improvement can partly be attributed to having the blinkers fitted and a repeat of her penultimate effort should be good enough to win this.

ARMSTRONG put up an eye-catching run in good company last time out. That was his first run as a gelding and on that run, he will love stepping back up to the 1400m today. He has won his only attempt at this trip, albeit to leave the maidens but on his last run he looks hard to oppose.
