The Sunrisers Eastern Cape take on the Paarl Royals in Gqeberha on Tuesday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are up to 2nd on the table on 17 points from their 7 matches with 4 victories and 3 losses. They are 33/10 2nd favourites for the title.

Behind them in 3rd place are the Paarl Royals on 13 points with 3 wins and 4 losses in their 7 games. The Royals are currently 9/2 to win the tournament.

With only 3 Round Robin matches still to play both teams will be desperate for victory and the Paarl Royals certainly can’t afford a defeat.

SUNRISERS EASTERN CAPE

The Sunrisers Easter Cape put up one of the most impressive performances of the Tournament on Sunday when they hosted the Durban Super Giants at St George’s Park.

The visitors won the toss and decided to bowl and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape amassed a massive 210 for 2 with opener Adam Rossington getting 72 off 30 balls while Hermann scored 59 and Aiden Markram 44 both at good strike rates. They then bowled the Durban Super Giants out for 86 to win by a massive 124 runs. Roelof van der Merwe, a late starter in this Tournament, was the star of the show with 6 for 20 in 4 overs.

PAARL ROYALS

The Paarl Royals were also in action on Sunday when they hosted the Pretoria Capitals at Boland Park.

The Capitals won the toss and decided to bat first scoring a respectable 158 for 6 for the Paarl Royals, Ferisco Adams with his 2 for 38 taking the most wickets although Lungisani Ngidi with 1 for 19 off 4 overs was probably the pick of the bowlers.

The Paarl Royals then chased the score down with 2 balls and 6 wickets to spare with Jos Buttler scoring 37 off 28, Wihan Lubbe 29 off 22 and David Miller 28 not out at a strike rate of 200.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape 12/10

Paarl Royals 13/20

Suggested Bet: Sunrisers Eastern Cape win at 12/10

Their performance against the Durban Super Giants was one of the best I have seen and there is no doubt that the spirit in this camp is incredible and they will no doubt have a decent crowd behind them as well.

They may not have as many big name players as their opponents, but I am very surprised to see them starting underdogs here.

Suggested Bet: Over 1, Sunrisers Eastern Cape Total Over 5.5 Runs at 15/20

Rossington is a man who goes hard from ball 1 and this is fast becoming one of my favourite markets in T20 Cricket.
