One DSTV Premiership match takes place on Tuesday and it sees league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns host Chippa United

Mamelodi Sundowns

 

With all teams having played 15 matches Sundowns lead at the top of the standings is now a very healthy 10 points. They have been foot perfect since the break for the World Cup, reeling off successive 2-0 wins at home to Pirates and Swallows and last week they were also 2-0 winners away to Richards Bay.

Chippa have played 3 matches since the season resumed, drawing at home to Richards Bay (3-3) and away at Stellies (1-1) and last week they went down 2-0 at Swallows. Chippa had reeled off 4 straight wins in September and October including trips to Chiefs and Amazulu.

 

With 5 wins, 4 draws and 6 defeats Chippa have slipped back into mid table. With 17 goals scored and 20 conceded their games have been relatively high scoring for this division.

 

Recent Head to Head

 

The first league meeting this season took place in early September and Downs won it 1-0 with the decisive goal coming in injury time.

When it comes to league meetings Downs have an outstanding record against Chippa and given they way they have resumed the season this is a really tough ask

of the visitors.

 

Downs' record and especially their defensive stats are super impressive and the match result betting tells its own story. My preference is for the goal range

markets and 2-3 goals in total, an outcome which has arrived in each of Sundowns last 4 league games as well 3 of the last 4 DSTV Prem matches Chippa have played, is my play.
