Supersport's first league win of the season came at the fifth time of asking for coach Gavin Hunt. They edged out Richards Bay 1-0 in an away fixture and that was just their third goal of the season. Two earlier home fixtures delivered a 1-1 draw with Chippa and 0-0 stalemate with Pirates whilst road trips to TS Galaxy and Amazulu ended in defeat and Supersport come into this game third from bottom on the log.
Sundowns
Sundowns most recent league outing saw them beat Stellenbosch 3-0 in a home game. They now have 10 points from 5 matches and are just 1 point behind log leaders Pirates who have played a game more. It hasn't all been plain sailing for the defending champions who dropped points in a surprise home defeat to TS Galaxy and a draw away to Sekhukhune but they did win at Cape Town City (2-0) and at home to Chiefs (4-0) .
Recent Head to Head
These teams met in the MTN8 as recently as last weekend and Downs were 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Marcelo Allende and Abubeker Nasir in the final 10 minutes.
The first league meeting last season finished in a 2-2 draw and Downs won the return 1-0.

The Verdict
Sundowns had to be patient when the teams met in the MTN8 last weekend but they got the job done and having ran out convincing winners in 3 of their 5 league matches this season I can see them collecting maximum points with a clean sheet here.
