Swallows

 

Swallows come into the midweek program third from bottom with 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats against their name. They have lost their last 2 matches, 2-1 at home to Stellenbosch and then 4-0 away to Golden Arrows and Dylan Kerr has been replaced as coach with Musa Nyatama taaking temporary charge.

 

Earlier in the season Swallows won 2 home games, getting the better of Cape Town City 3-2 and Sekhukhune 2-1.

 

Kaizer Chiefs

 

Chiefs were in MTTN 8 semi final action last weekend and they played out a 1-1 draw with Amazulu, failing to make home advantage pay in the first leg.

 

As far as league form is concerned Chiefs are in mid table with 11 points from 8 matches, 8 behind league leaders Sundowns at the time of writing although Chiefs do have a game in hand. Chiefs 3 league wins this season all came in home games, most recently seeing off Supersport 2-1 but their only point from 4 road trips came in a 1-1 draw at Gallants.

 

Recent Head to Head

 

Last season Chiefs won this fixture 3-1 whilst the return ended in a 2-2 draw.

 

 

The Betting

 

In the early betting Swallows are trading at around 27/10 to win the game with the draw at 17/10 and Chiefs can be backed at around 13/10

The Verdict

 

New signing Caleb Bimenyimana was on target twice for Chiefs in their league win over Supersport and they created (and missed) plenty of chances in the cup at the weekend. The Chiefs away record has to be of some concern but I still fancy they will find a couple of goals here.
