Race 1 Executive Decision
is a little unexposed ability wise.I say this as all three previous runs he either ran in snatches,overraced or wasn't ridden out so expect some improvement.not sure it could result in a place but he is almost 5/1

i paused for a moment or two and ED went to 8.4/1.

Cordobesa has a strong jockey booking and with good form shown so far can earn

One run, fifth to second favourite Sound Of Warning was an exceptional run.Kennedy but price is skinny
mwos only offers three places although 14 horses were carded to run

One of my fav meetings at Scottsville on Saturday .

Race 1.
Going to open my account with Lazuli , open looking race , good combo and drawn well . 6/1 eachway

Race 2
Varistocracy was well supported on debut and ran quite green in finishing second . HTB but price skinny .
Get Carter at 33/1 my spook .

Race 3
Open race and if Ancient State can overcome that draw I think he's a good eachway prospect at 12/1.

Race 4
Deputy Marshall is my narrow first choice , coming the right way 33/10, my other fancy is the Joburg raider Royal Mazarin, though second in a weak race last time was heavily supported and Joburg raiders need to be respected 9/2.

Race 5
I'm going to be brassing the Azzie trained Sheela . I'm all over the Tarry trained Sound of Warning at 5/1 and my roughie is Heavens Girl at 12/1.

Race 6
Gimme a Prince a lovely looking horse , HTB 2/1 though price skinny . Open beyond him .

Race 7
Very open if True to Life fluffs her lines, my first choice is Sarah eachway at 14/1 , one win on this track already and I also like the Winter Smoke , very speedy an eachway at 16/1.

Race 8
Going for the two Tarry horses here , both Eden Rock 12/1 and Chimi Run at 11/1. Both eachway

Race 9
Capt Stealth my best of the day 28/10.

For the above , sadly moved to Sunday . Lots of rain about and it should still be sticky , draws down the straight will be of big interest .

Koks , so only Cape Town to contend with .

Race 1
Baby race and caution especially in the Cape, I think Captain Mike could get us off to a good start 11/2.

Race 2
Costa Esmeralda well bred and a decent debut , nice eachway value at 7/1.

Race 3
Open race but narrow first choice is Vini Vedi Vichi .... but worried about the stable and also the jock a little. However I'll give the benefit ...33/10

Race 4
Again I have concerns about this combonation ..Razzle Dazzle em .. 22/10

Race 5
A small field and a result not out of the question. Meliora was badly ridden I thought last time and should have won, will try and steal a break and can win 11/2 this time around . Lets Boohie Baby next best at 22/10.

Race 6
Again the Crawford . Murray combo is my first choice , the stable is not in great form and neither the jock , Universe Boss given a shocker last time but I think he should be too good here 15/10.

Race 7
Spring is in the Air a very soft fancy at 7/1 eachway

Race 8
Grey Princess is my roughie in the last and at eachway 14/1.

Nice thoughts guys and some really nice racing.

Bit of a concern for me is which side will have the better going, inside or Outside

Race 2 - Mr Master Starter @ 7/1
Very well bred and siblings all seemed to enjoy sprint. Dame Sire been Captain Al could surprise as stable has done before.

Race 4 - With you Coil on Deputy Marshall

Race 5 - Under you Spell @ 10/1
After hearing stable comments that something was a miss last time, think 10/1 is a decent price. I personally think Sheela will be hard to beat but will include this one and Coil's based on Jockey as well.

Race 6 - Silver Salmon @ 33/1 & Elmo @ 16/1
Silver Salmon on Cape form should be close to fav's but races not run on paper.
Elmo beta a short priced horse from DK stable, which was abcked in big time, so hoping can pop up. Also has stable Jock up for me.
Since DK stable has left top Cosmic Highway out of this one, could mean the fav will be hard to beat, but as Coil says HTB at 2/1

Race 7 - Rio's Winter @ 40/1 & Gallic Princess @ 16/1
2 fav's look hard to beat, True to Life has been good to me and Verinichy was very unlucky last time up in JHB.
But I will take them on with these 2.

Traditionally outside draws on sprints is where you want to be at Scottsville when soft, that bias did soften in recent years, last soft card early April was overall better for outside. I'll be taking a punt that outside is where you want to be tomorrow, hopefully get some early decent prices.

Will post once reviewed card.

early fancy in r1 -

S1 Sea of Tranquility 20/1 ew.
Outside draw not ideal on bend, but one good run in soft when 4th behind winners at track.

S2 Drogarati 12/1 ew and Hippocrates 40/1 ew.
Mainly like on jockey booking on D, not a common combo but when Laff puts the best on they tend to go well. The latter just a big priced runner from Drier yard who has has tended to fire on this particular raceday before.

Thanks South for clarifying, I remember that as well but wasn't sure if I was getting confused with Turffies.

S3 Board Master 15/1 ew.
Drier has a low key presence on a day he's normally loaded up on in the big races. Perhaps this one can give him some tonic, could improve back on turf.

S5 Super Siri 10/1 ew.
Snaith has some good 2yr olds, i wasn't sure this was the pick of crop but interesting he runs here here and will take my chances at price.

S6 Amborix 8/1 Gallic Chief 20/1 ew
A's debut win still sticks in my mind, multiple winners and was very impressive. Ferraris retains ride.
GC won as he liked on soft track last time out and could be anything. No harm at price.

S7 Tropic Sun 25/1, Sweet Future 13/1 both ew
TS drawn wide, one good run in soft, will be on the pace. SF classy but has issues, Bling can get best out of her today.

S8 Cartel Captain 12/1, Ikigai 40/1 ew
CC one that's been kind to me, will stick with. I just a big roughie who will stay every inch of a sticky 1200m and drawn wide where i think might be a bias.

S9 More Magic 12/1 ew.
Been bumping good sorts in career, this more his level, Hewitson retains for yard he has a good record with.

Race 2 - Bit of Fun @ 50/1
Yes first run was not great, but on breeding looks like should like distance. Full brother to Romi's Boy who was pacy and won a few decent races. Gets services of decent appie with claim still. Weighted to places.
