With the possible exception of Mali we have five sides which can only be described as "goal challenged" . Not fond of odds-on unders bets so taking

I had a small chuckle when I saw an article about Bafana Bafana and SAFA agreeing terms for the incentives for players for this tournament should they progress deep into the knockouts. Bafana will be lucky to score some goals this tournament let alone progress to the semis and beyond.

Everton vs Palace
I read your WSB preview for this game Brent and as you mentioned its either going to be a low scoring game or an unexpected goals galore type of game between these teams. While you went for the goals option, I think its another dud game with possibly an Everton 1-0 win.
Under 2.5 goals between Everton/Palace - 9/10

DR Congo v Zambia tonight
Over 30.5 booking pts @ 5/4.
It felt big, the card count has picked up last 2 days and i believe there isn't a huge amount of love lost between the 2 nations. Also ref is strict or so i've just read on a google search!
My Wed night interest anyway on this one.

On second thought, decided to take a double instead of this single card bet for the game.

The quality of football is dreadful in this game. I can only assume the other groups are a bit better? It’s a hard watch and I’m flipping over to the FA Cup!

Australia struggled to get through the crowded Indian defence in the first match, and won 2-0 with goals scored in the second half.
There were many poor and wasted crosses by the Australians against India, and hopefully they would have worked on that.
Syria drew 0-0- with Uzbekistan, in a match that they were dominated and got away with it.
There are three changes to the Socceroos line up, hoping to bring some spark in those attacks.
I'll take two bets on goalscorers, because Duke is due a goal and Souttar, who is a tall and massive player who goes into the penalty box for corners and set pieces and he scores with headers.
Bet 1: Winning margin - Australia by one goal @3.50 - half stake
Bet 2: Australia to win to nil @1.83
Bet 3: Duke to score anytime @2.50 - a beer
Bet 4: Souttar to score anytime @6.00 - a beer

12 Matches to date with only 4 going over 2.5 goals. We did, however get BTTS in 6 from 12. Expect under 1.5 goals to land in the Eq Guinea v Guinea B. Two poor sides. The problem in the Ivory Coast v Nigeria match is both will accept the 0-0 draw. We are left with
Egypt v Ghana
Cape Verde are a good outfit so I believe Egypt need the win here. Ghana will fancy their chances against Mozambique but a loss here may mean they require a 2 goal win to get one of the best 3rd place team slots. Therefor if Egypt score I think Ghana have to go for it and I believe Egypt carry the fire power to score most times.
BTTS - Yes @ 14/10

Afcon Thursday
Ivory Coast vs Nigeria
Thanks for the write ups Chris and Vann and if I may add, I don't think Nigeria will accept a draw here Vann. The runner up in this group plays the runner up in Group C (likely either Senegal or Cameroon) so Nigeria should really have to go for it tonight as a draw most likely gives them a tougher R16 game. I think it will be an open game based on the need for a Nigeria win and the chance to overtake Ivory Coast for top spot, so I am backing the BTTS.
Ivory Coast/Nigeria BTTS - 14/10
Egypt vs Ghana
As you mentioned Vann, Ghana can still scrape through with a loss here if they can put a few past Mozambique. I don't think Kudus is 100% good to go so I hope the coach keeps him for the crucial Mozambique game instead. I was disappointed that Inaki Williams didn't start for Ghana and imo, J Ayew, Williams and Semenyo should be the three forwards with Kudus playing behind as CAM. Anyway, since both these teams didn't get a win in their first games, both will have to attack more and go for it tonight and I also like the BTTS play that you guys are on.

Cape Verde v Mozambique
Was impressed by Cape Verde racking up 15 shots against Ghana. Mozambique have scored twice in five of their last eight matches so this worth a sniff as I feel line should be around 9/10 choice
BTTS - Yes @ 13/10
Missed our beer by one Ivory Coast goal yesterday. We go again

What can only be described as a nightmare before the festivities, their recent two week break would undoubtedly have been a welcoming period for Arteta and his men. Having lost their way over the festive period, this mini hiatus from competitive football could very well be a blessing in disguise for the Gunners.
It would have given Arteta time to address, refresh and to a certain extent allow for the reset button to be pressed in order to garner some much needed momentum moving forward for the 2nd half of their seasonal campaign.
Recent results have not been ideal given the magnitude and vision of the club, something that can be put to bed against a very inconsistent Palace outfit this weekend. It is by no means by a lack of trying given how attack minded Arsenal have been when pressing forward (110 shots on target). Sadly it’s the end product that seems to have eluded them at times this season. They also boast the best corner stats (7.9 per game) which is yet another indicator of their dominance on the field.
Palace will take heart in the fact that on the road they have performed far more stoutly in comparison to their results at Selhurst Park this season. The big question mark is will that be enough to get one over their London neighbours at the Emirates? They will certainly miss Jordan Ayew’s services given he is their leading player in the assist department (AFCON duty).
Lack of creativity could very well be their downfall and whilst I expect them to put up a brave performance, I simply cannot make a case for them despite Arsenal’s poor run of form. Palace have a terrible record against the Gunners and I fully expect that to continue.
It’s a massive game for the hosts given the context and recent run of form. Arsenal will be desperate for a win and expect them to dominate and limit the Eagles with precious few opportunities going forward. So that being said….These are my play’s for today.
Arsenal win to nil 17/20 WSB

Just believe the man with the very odd nick name "The Florist"? ie Desabre knows the Morroccan game well and could sneak a goal here. I do think Morroco win so bet is

SA v Namibia
The little boys from Chiefs, Pirates, The Brazilians etc have been fawned upon from day one. Now they are in the Ivory Coast where they have to cough West African francs for a BJ which you get for free in SA. Namibians are used to paying for everything so we can expect a settled side playing a very frustrated Bafana Bafana this evening.
Namibia win by one goal exactly @ 15/4
