Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 12th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
PALANCAR found betting support when touched off in his local debut over this C&D. He finished strongly but was touched off by Party Girl. The son of The United States would have come on from the run. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand and he is the horse to beat.
CADENZA is an unraced son of Rafeef from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Teatro and Quiet Rebellion. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
STAND UP has good recent form lines to his credit. He rallied late when third over 1400m on this course last time. From his good draw of three, he should be involved at the finish.
RACE 2
LADY BOMBER has improved since relocating to the Eastern Cape. She raced from a handy position over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Olive Oyl. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber is the stable elect with Chase Maujean in the saddle and she can go one better in this line-up.
AMANATTO was running on too late when second over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
WHITE WATERS returns from a 13-week break and is having her first run for the Cliffie Miller stable. On best form shown, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 3
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is OH MANDY from the Tara Laing stable. She has finished in the top three in her last three outings. She has finished second once and third four times from six starts over this C&D. From pole position, she may be the one to side with.
CELTIQUE has fair recent form lines to her name. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. It would be no surprise to see her shed her maiden tag.
GENTEEL is better than her last two starts when sixth. She has finished second twice and third twice from eight starts over this distance. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and on best form shown, she should be involved at the finish.
RACE 4
GIMME MORE TIME should have won his last start over 2000m on the turf as he hung inwards in the closing stages. The 6yo gelding is having his first run on the polytrack. He jumps from a good draw of three and if keeping on a straight line, he should notch up his fifth-career victory.
KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is a winner of his last two starts over this C&D, under Muzi Yeni. He takes another rise in class but is in a good space, and can bring up the hat-trick.
BRENDEN JAMES was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D at long odds. Despite receiving a bump leaving the start, he showed a good turn of foot and drew clear of the opposition. Despite his big mass of 63kgs, he cannot be discounted.
RACE 5
FAMILY POWER moved up well over this C&D last time but was touched off by subsequent feature race winner, Epikleros. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has also come out and won since. The daughter of Louis The King has found a new lease of life since relocating to the Eastern Cape. From her good draw of three, she is the horse to beat.
GREEN ISLE is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. She takes on stronger, but may still be ahead of the handicapper and can bring up the hat-trick.
BOSNAY finished 3 lengths behind ONE RELIGION last time. She is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 6
LADY ZULTANITE is better than her last start over 2000m on this course. She has finished second once and third twice from four starts over this C&D. The 6yo mare has dropped in the ratings and she drops in class. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
TWILIGHT BAY followed up her maiden victory with a decent third-place finish over 1600m on this course. She drops in class and may be hard to peg back at the finish.
COSMIC CLIFFS ran on strongly when second over this distance on the turf last time. She won her maiden over this C&D. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
RACE 7
This is a competitive Merit Rated 66 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is
MANEKI NEKO from the Jacques Strydom stable. He ran a fair race over 1200m on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack last time. He has won over this distance previously. He is having his first run in the Eastern Cape and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be right there.
PARTY GIRL fought hard for her debut victory over 1300m on this course. The drop to 1000m is a slight concern. The daughter of Danon Platina takes on stronger, but she could be anything and may be up to the task at hand.
JET SET RUN won a good race over this C&D last time. She showed good speed and found more where it matters most. She is in a good space and cannot be discounted
RACE 8
SILVER TYCOON is in good form heading into this race. He finished 0.5 lengths behind TINTAMARRE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 8yo gelding is likely to race on the speed and he can notch up his fifth-career victory.
TINTAMARRE is a winner of his last two starts on this course and he is unbeaten in the Eastern Cape. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he can bring up the hat-trick.
SWISS WALT was running on when fourth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be competitive.
