Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday 14th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
Six of the seven runners in this contest are first timers and the betting market will be the best guide. COWBOY COUNTRY is a son of The United States from the Tony Rivalland yard with Jabu Jacobs in the saddle. He is related to five-time winner Pistol Pete. If not in need of the outing, he should start his career on a positive note.
BOMBARDIER BOY is a son of Heavenly Blue from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable and Sean Veale is booked to ride. His mother, Miracle Flight was a three-time winner from 800m to 1000m. If not too green in running, he should be involved at the finish.
BLAZING FURY hails from the Louis Goosen stable and he is a son of Vercingetorix. He is related to multiple winners including Drive By and Donquerari. Jason Gates does duty and if not too green, he should produce a positive showing.
Race 2
Trainer Duncan Howells holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. PERFUME POWER is better than her last start over 1100m. It must be noted that Princess Of Gaul has come out and won again since. She was touched off in her penultimate run over this C&D. Callan Murray does duty and she may be the horse to side with.
AUSTRIAN BEAUTY showed good improvement when second in her first run for the yard. If confirming that effort, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
LOU LOU found one too good in the form of Blazing Beauty last time. She finished third on debut over this C&D. The daughter of Declarationofpeace may be the one to spoil the Howells party.
Race 3
POETIC PRINCESS has good consistent form lines to her credit and makes her way up to KwaZulu-Natal. She showed pace over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time and stayed on to finish third. If settled into her new surroundings, she should give the males a run for their money.
RAFA‘S BOY lacked extra late when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eight starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TRIPPING THUNDER followed up his maiden win with a decent fourth-place finish over 1200m on this course. He raced on the pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Trippi should be involved at the finish.
Race 4
Mike and Mathew de Kock hold a strong hand in this contest. SUNNYBILLS FERRARI caught the eye when fourth over 1400m on this course, on debut. He over raced in the early stages, turned for home in a wide position but finished off his race well. The son of Querari would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
BUDDY BOY ran on well when third over 1200m on debut. The son of What A Winter will enjoy the rise to 1600m and he is a solid back-up for the yard.
HAMILTON HERO ran a fair race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. The son of Act Of War would have come on from the run and will enjoy the step up in distance. He jumps from a good draw of three and should make the natural progression.
Race 5
DAWN TILL DUSK was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He received a two-pound penalty for that win. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride, and he can follow up with another victory.
UZWANO finished 1.85 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
TWO MILES WEST found more when winning his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He is likely to get his own way in front and may be hard to peg back.
Race 6
AFRICAN DUSK may have cost himself winning last time as he hung inwards in the closing stages. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
GOTTA GO EDDIE followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. Sean Veale steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect.
IDEAL GIFT has finished second in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. Her last victory came under Serino Moodley. With a bit of luck in running, she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 7
DAWN SURPRISE‘S last two starts have been good. She showed speed over this C&D last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Yannakis. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto retains the ride and the combination can go one better.
GOLDEN ASPEN hails from the visiting Corne Spies stable. She was outrun late over 1600m at the Vaal last time. She has finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. The 7yo mare is one of the leading contenders.
DOUBLE OLYMPIC stayed on when sixth over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He may be the first male past the post.
Race 8
DOWN BY THE RIVER was running on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. His last victory came over this C&D. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but gets the services of Muzi Yeni who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
TURBO TWENTY won a good race over 1600m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. He takes a rise in class, but carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and should pose a threat.
INTREPID was running on when second over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. 4kgs claiming apprentice Damyan Pillay retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect
