Three live Rugby World Cup matches are the sporting highlight of Wednesday and we take a look at these and other betting options in our Daily Diary.
RUGBY WORLD CUP
Argentina and the USA get the ball rolling at 06:45 South African time on Wednesday morning and Argentina are 1/11 favourites to win the game with the USA rank outsiders at 8/1 and the handicap set at Argentina (-20.5).
Looking at the first try scorer markets Julian Montoya from Argentina has been in cracking form and could well find himself behind a rolling maul to go over for the first 5 pointer. He is priced at 15/2.

Scotland and Russia are up next with the Russians making their final appearance of the Tournament and Scotland are (-33.5). This does not look an easy game to call as Scotland will be in search of a bonus point win but will have their eye on the big clash against Japan on the weekend.

Wales take on Fiji in the final match of the day and Wales are (-16.5) against a Fiji side that was disappointingly beaten by Uruguay earlier in the campaign. Fiji have shown enough in the Tournament to suggest they can give Wales a run for their money and while we can’t see them beating the Welsh the (+16.5) Fiji has an appeal at 9/10.

TENNIS
The ATP Shanghai Masters continues on Wednesday and Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic are amongst the big names in action. There are a host of markets on each and every match and you can click here for all our ATP Shanghai betting.
HORSE RACING
Local Horse Racing takes place at Durbanville in Cape Town on Wednesday with an 8 race card getting going at 13:35 and scheduled to finish at 17:55.
Punters don’t really have to wait long for their first short priced favourite with Duchess Of State in the 1st Race currently a 9/20 market leader. Race 5 over 1400 metres has a very open look to it but we do have a fancy for the favourite Hurricane Harry, the Justin Snaith trained mount of Richard Fourie and the price on that one is currently 7/2 a win and 5/10 a Top Four finish.

To end today’s Betting Diary a quick look at the upcoming Golf which starts on Thursday and in Europe we have the Italian Open where Paul Casey is a market leader at 9/2 edging Justin Rose who is 10/1. You can click here for betting on the Italian Open and over in the states it is the PGA Houston Open and here we have Swede, Henrik Stenson topping the board at 10/1 with recent winner, Cameron Champ 25/1 in what seems a pretty open betting heat.
