There are 8 DSTV Premiership matches taking place this weekend and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Swallows v AmaZulu – Click here to bet
Swallows are sitting mid-table after 3 games with 4 points while AmaZulu are 3rd on the log with 7 points out of a possible 9. Goals are normally in short supply in this fixture with only 2 in the last 4 meetings.
Suggested bet: Under 1.5 goals at 13/10
Golden Arrows v TS Galaxy – Click here to bet
These sides are sitting at opposite ends of the table early doors with Arrows in 15th place on 1 point from 3 matches while TS Galaxy are sitting 2nd with 7 points from their 3 games. Based on this I am scratching my head at the 3/1 price about a Galaxy win and if you want the draw in your favour as well take Galaxy plus 0.5 goals at 8/10 on the handicap.
Suggested Bet: Galaxy win at 3/1
Sekhukhune v Mamelodi Sundowns – Click here to bet
Sekhukhune are sitting mid-table with 4 points from their opening 3 matches while Sundowns are 2 points and 4 positions above them after two wins and a loss to start their season. Sundowns had been beaten by Galaxy at home, a result that could have been backed at 9/1, but they bounced back strongly to beat Chiefs and I foresee a comfortable win against Sekhukhune.
Suggested Bet: Sundowns win at 15/20
Cape Town City v Stellenbosch – Click here to bet
Cape Town City have been disappointing so far this season with only 1 point from 4 matches and they currently sit bottom of the log. Last time out they did get their first point, 0-0 at home to Maritzburg United. Stellenbosch are 7th on the log with 5 points from 3 games and they have yet to taste defeat. I am finding picking a winner difficult here and it has me leaning towards the draw at just shy of 2/1.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 39/20
Kaizer Chiefs v Richards Bay – Click here to bet
Kaizer Chiefs are currently 12th on the log with two losses and a win in their opening 3 games. They face top of the table, Richards Bay who sit on 7 points from 3 matches. Richards Bay scored 3 goals this season and have yet to concede. A low scoring game looks to be on the cards. My money though is going to go on Kaizer Chiefs who should be different proposition at home and can bring the newcomers back down to earth.
Suggested Bet: Kaizer Chiefs win at 9/10
Maritzburg United v Chippa United – Click here to bet
Maritzburg United are 13th on the log with 3 draws and a loss in their opening 4 fixtures. They face Chippa United who sit a point and 3 positions above them in 10th on 4 points from their opening 3 games. These sides played out a thrilling 5/1 win to Maritzburg here two years back and I can’t resist over 2.5 goals at 2/1.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 2/1
Royal AM v Marumo Gallants – Click here to bet
Royal AM opened their campaign with 2 victories, but have now had back-to-back defeats to Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates. Fifty percent of their matches have seen over 2.5 goal backers collect profits. Marumo Gallants are 11th on the table after 3 draws, 2 of which were goalless. I don’t see much between these sides and I am baking Gallants to get their 4th consecutive draw.
Suggested Bet: The Draw at 22/10
SuperSport United v Orlando Pirates- Click here to bet
This is the match of the weekend and SuperSport, in particular, will be looking to kick start their season as they are without a win in their opening 3 games and currently sit 14th. Pirates have won 2 of 4 matches and sit 4th on the table, but consistency has been their problem. One stat that jumps out of head-to-head fixtures is that both teams have scored in this fixture in 4 of the last 5 meetings.
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, yes, at 21/10
