There is a busy DSTV Premiership schedule in midweek and we select 3 of the games to have a bet on.
TUESDAY
SUPERSPORT UNITED v STELLENBOSCH
SuperSport United are currently 8th on the log and they have steadied the ship in recent times with 2 draws and a victory in their last 3 starts. Their last game was a goalless draw away at Marumo Gallants and their last home match was a 1-1 draw with Chippa United.
Stellenbosch are 6th on the log with 2 wins in their last 3 starts, most recently beating Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at home and their last away game was a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United.
Goals have been scarce in both of these teams fixtures of late with the last 3 SuperSport United matches delivering profits for under 2.5 goal backers and the last 4 Stellenbosch matches failing to reach the 3 goal mark.
Digging a bit deeper into the goal stats it is a 50% return for over 2.5 goal backers in SuperSport home matches, but only 3 of the 13 Stellenbosch away games have had 3 goals or more in them.
SuperSport beat Stellenbosch 1-0 in the reverse fixture and last season this fixture finished 1-0 to SuperSport.

SuperSport United 13/10
Draw 18/10
Stellenbosch 28/10
Suggested Bet: The draw at 18/10
I looked at the goals markets here as both the head-to-head history and recent form of the sides suggest a low scoring encounter, but unfortunately the bookies were on to this with under 2.5 goals priced at 37/100. I also looked at the 1-1 draw at 4/1 in the correct score market, but have decided just to stick with the draw which I think is a big runner in this fixture.
KAIZER CHIEFS v MARUMO GALLANTS
Kaizer Chiefs are 5th on the table and they have now lost 4 matches in a row and are without a win in their last 5. Last time out they lost to Cape Town City 2-1 at home, a result we shouted home having backed the visitors at 26/10. Chiefs have only taken 1 point from a possible 12 in their last 4 home matches.
Marumo Gallants have been sliding down the table and they have only taken 3 points from the last 15 they have played for courtesy of 3 draws, one of which came last time out, a goalless draw at home to SuperSport United. Their last two away games have both ended in defeat at Royal AM and Cape Town City.
Looking at the goal stats of the teams 5 of the 12 Kaizer Chiefs home matches have had 3 goals or more in them and only 4 of 13 Marumo Gallants away matches have made you a profit if you had backed over 2.5 goals.
Marumo Gallants held Chiefs to a goalless draw at home earlier in the season.

Kaizer Chiefs 8/10
Draw 9/4
Marumo Gallants 4/1
Suggested Bet: The draw at 9/4
I am going with the draw again here as I can’t bring myself to back Kaizer Chiefs at anything under even money given their current form. Gallants haven't been winning a lot of games, but they have been showing some determination in holding teams to draws and I don’t think there is going to be too much to choose between two sides really struggling for form.
WEDNESDAY
CHIPPA UNITED v CAPE TOWN CITY
Chippa United are undefeated in their last 3 matches and have climbed to 12th on the log with 2 draws and a victory. Last time out they drew 0-0 away at Orlando Pirates and their last home game was a 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch. Their home form remains poor though and that victory was their first in front of their own fans this season.
Cape Town City are up to 3rd on the table after a strong run that sees them undefeated in their last 10 matches. They delivered the goods for us last time out beating Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 on the road and they have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 away matches.
Cape Town City won the reverse fixture 1-0 at home and last season both League matches between the sides were drawn.

Chippa United 3/1
Draw 2/1
Cape Town City 11/10
Suggested bet: Cape Town City win at 11/10
Cape Town City are in a rich vein of form and have been good to me in recent weeks and I am more than happy to take anything above even money that they win this one.
