SATURDAY
ORLANDO PIRATES v MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Clashes don’t get much bigger than this in South African football and hopefully the fans will go to this match in their thousands.
Pirates are currently sitting 2nd in the League having lost just 1 of their last 5 matches and they reached the semi-finals courtesy of a 2-1 away win over Royal AM, a game where they started 15/10 for the victory.
Mamelodi Sundowns where we are used to seeing them in the PSL at the top of the table, 5 points clear of pirates, but having played a game more. They were at home to SuperSport United in their quarter-final winning 2-0 and they went off as 11/20 favourites.
Sundowns have had the better of head-to-head clashes in recent times winning the last 4 League matches between the sides and last time they met in a knock-out competition was the Nedbank Cup in 2021 with Sundowns winning 4-1.
Given Sundowns recent form and also their head-to-head dominance over Pirates I am happy to back them to win the game inside the 90 minutes.
Suggested Bet: Sundowns win at 27/20
SUNDAY
KAIZER CHIEFS v AMAZULU – Click here to bet
Kaizer Chiefs are undefeated in their last 3 League games and currently sit 9th on the table, 3 positions behind AmaZulu who have lost 3 of their last 4 and have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for in the League.
Chiefs required penalties to see off Stellenbosch on the road in their quarter-final and AmaZulu were also pushed hard beating Cape Town City in extra time 2-1, that match taking place down in the Cape.
Kaizer Chiefs hosted AmaZulu in the League earlier this season and the game finished goalless and was the 3rd successive draw between the sides.
There has been very little between these sides in recent seasons and they are only separated by goal difference in the League this season. All signs point to a close match and I am going to be backing the 90 minute draw.
Suggested Bet: The Draw at 22/10
