The second leg of the MTN8 Cup semi-finals takes place this week and we take a look at both matches from a betting angle.
TUESDAY
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS v GOLDEN ARROWS
These sides drew 1-1 in the first leg hosted by Golden Arrows and that was the 3rd successive draw between the two teams as both PSL fixtures finished level pegging last season.
Back to the MTN8 and Sundowns required penalties to beat Kaizer Chiefs in their last 8 match while Golden Arrows also went to penalties against SuperSport United before coming out on top 3-2.
As far as recent form goes, Mamelodi Sundowns have carried on where they left off last season and they have won their last 3 League games, most recently beating Orlando Pirates 2-0 on the road.
Golden Arrows have become the draw specialists in the League with their last 3 games all finishing level.

Mamelodi Sundowns 13/20
Draw 51/20
Golden Arrows 11/2
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 23/20
Arrows may have been involved in a lot of draws, but the other stat which jumps out is that in their last 6 matches both teams have found the back of the net and given Sundowns are likely to score at home, I think there is some value in this market. The other obvious choice would be 51/20 that the teams draw, but the way Sundowns are playing at the moment I am reluctant to oppose them.
WEDNESDAY
SWALLOWS v CAPE TOWN CITY
The first encounter between these sides finished goalless in Cape Town and subsequent to that the teams also played out a goalless draw in Soweto.
Swallows have not won in their last 5 matches in all competitions and their last League game was that goalless draw with Cape Town City that broke a run of successive League defeats.
Prior to the Swallows match, Cape Town City had lost 3-0 at home to Stellenbosch and they have only found the net once in their last 5 matches.

Swallows 29/20
Draw 21/10
Cape Town City 22/10
Suggested Bet: The draw at 21/10
Given these sides have now played 180 minutes without either scoring a goal against the other, anything above 2/1 is great value in my book especially in a South Africa Cup competition where teams tend to be even more conservative.
