WSB Logo Orange 80x80Local football continues this weekend and we take a look at the three PSL matches taking place on Saturday and suggest a bet in each game.

Mamelodi Sundowns go into 2025 well poised to defend their title once again. They top the log on 30 points, 3 points clear of Pirates, who have a game in hand, and the sides have the identical goal difference. Bookies are pricing the title race up as virtually a two-horse race with Sundowns 5/10 and Orlando Pirates 4/10. Stellenbosch and Polokwane are next in the betting at 33/1.

AMAZULU v GOLDEN ARROWS – Click here to bet

AmaZulu currently sit 11th on the log and they have won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 matches. Last time out they upset Cape Town City 1-0 on the road and their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to Sundowns.

Arrows are 8th on the log with 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss in their last 5 matches. They are coming off a goalless draw at home to Polokwane and their last away match was a 3-2 victory over Royal AM.

AmaZulu are the favourites at 11/10 with the draw on offer at 2/1 and Arrows 11/4.

Last season it was the away team which won 3-1 in each match and given Arrows away matches average 2.8 goals a game, I think over 2.5 goals is the value play here.

BET: Over 2.5 goals at 31/20

TS GALAXY v MAGESI – Click here to bet

TS Galaxy are 10th on the log and they are undefeated in their last 5 matches with 3 victories and 2 draws. Last time out they beat Royal AM 3-1 on the road and their last home game was a 1-1 draw with Kaiser Chiefs.

Magesi are bottom of the table with just 6 points out of a possible 30. They have lost their last 4 matches in succession, going down 1-0 at home to Pirates in their last start. Their last away game was a 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United.

TS Galaxy are the 5/8 favourites at home with the draw 5/2 and Magesi 5/1.

Magesi, for all their troubles, don’t concede a lot of goals and I am going to go for a narrow win here for the home team with a 1 goal victory margin.

BET: Handicap, TS Galaxy -1 the draw at 9/4

MARUMO GALLANTS v RICHARDS BAY – Click here to bet

Marumo Gallants currently sit 13th on the log, but are in free fall after 3 consecutive defeats including a 1-0 loss at Sekhukhune away and an 8/1 loss to Pirates late in 2024. They are undefeated in their last 3 home games.

Richards Bay are 2nd from bottom on the table with just 2 wins in 12 matches. Last time out they lost 2-0 at home to Sundowns, but they beat Golden Arrows 1-0 on the road in their penultimate start and that was their first away win of the season in 6 attempts.

Marumo Gallants are the 21/20 favourites with the draw at 21/10 and Richards Bay at 28/10.

This looks a really tough game to call between two sides who are struggling and I think the draw is a big runner.

BET: The draw at 21/10
