The Mzansi Super League is among Wednesday’s sports betting highlights and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.
CRICKET
The Mzansi Super League is now well underway and the Tshwane Spartans are 4/6 to beat the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in Wednesday’s game.
The Nelson Mandela Giants are coming off a victory over the Jozi Stars, but this will be the first run out for the Spartans whose first game in Durban was rained out.
There are plenty of Exotic Markets priced up including Player To Score The Most 6’s where AB De Villiers is a 7/2 favourite and the Tshwane Spartans are 15/20 to score more sixes than their opponents. Other markets of interest include Top Home and Away Bowler and Batsman and in the Top Away Bowler market we fancy Imran Tahir at current odds of 11/4.

HORSE RACING
Local horse racing takes place at the Greyville Polytrack on Wednesday with the first race due off at 13:05 and the 8th and final race at 17:15.
There are a number of fairly firm favourites on the card particularly in the first few races and Horse No. 2, Down To Earth could be a popular banker in the 2nd leg of the Pick Six and is currently priced at 11/10. In Race 7 we fancy the chances of Horse No. 2, Head Boy with the 4 year old currently trading at 11/2 for the win and 17/20 for a Top 3 finish.

TENNIS
The ATP Tour Finals in London continue on Wednesday with Rafael Nadal under pressure to get a win against Daniil Medvedev and he is 23/20 with Medvedev is trading at 7/10. Stefanos Tsitsipas is 9/10 against Alexander Zverev who is 17/20 and both of these matches look very competitive. There will be of course other markets on offer such as Total Games, Number of Sets and you can bet on the Correct Set Score in the 1st Set.

GOLF
The Nedbank Golf Challenge starts on Thursday and Louis Oosthuizen remains the favourite at 10/1 with Tommy Fleetwood and Henrik Stenson both at 15/1 alongside Matthew Fitzpatrick.
There are a number of Special Markets including any South African to win outright at 7/2 and if you fancy a really close finish, a 4 man play-off is on offer at 50/1.
Looking at the Top South African Market, Louis Oosthuizen is 14/10 with in-form Erik van Rooyen 4/1, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, a previous winner this year, 7/1 and Branden Grace a man with great course form at 15/2 alongside George Coetzee. Justin Harding has gone off the boil a bit of late, but he is 10/1 and the rank outsider in the South African field is Ernie Els at 25/1. Who knows maybe Ernie can turn back the clock!
