64 players will take part in the World Golf Championships Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas this week and with only 5 players of the Top 64 in the world not there, we certainly have the cream of the crop going up against each other.
Lets start with a quick refresh on the structure where we have 16 pools of 4 players, all going against each other over the first 3 days (note this event starts on Wednesday) before we get down to the final 16 which will then play knock-out golf until we reach the final on Sunday.
The pools are seeded according to World Ranking and we pick a few bets that will, hopefully, keep us interested over the full 5 days.
Bryson Dechambeau and Justin Thomas dispute favouritism at 12/1 at the time of writing with Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm 14/1 and 20/1 and better the balance. There is also betting out on the first round of matches as well as Group Winner betting.

SELECTIONS:
Justin Thomas each way at 12/1
In this tournament an each way bet means you get place returns of a quarter odds if your selections makes the semi-finals.
Thomas is in excellent form and has also shown in the past that he has good Match Play temperament. Looking at his group he will have to overcome South African Louis Oosthuizen and Americans, Kisner and Kuchar. Thomas is priced at 12/10 to win his group
Group 4 Winner Collin Morikawa at 5/4
Morikawa is in great nick with a recent win in the WGC Workday Championship. I haven't seen a lot of him in Matchplay, but his accurate irons should be well capable of putting pressure on his opponents this week.
Group 14 Winner Erik van Rooyen at 4/1
Van Rooyen is the rank outsider in his group which features Daniel Berger, Harris English and Brendon Todd. South African golfers are well known for being strong at Match Play and Erik can also be backed at a massive 150/1 to win the Tournament, gets a nod to cause a group upset this week.
Match Bet Treble, Dustin Johnson, Bryson Dechambeau, John Ram to win opening matches at 31/20
All 3 of these top golfers are priced too short for your average punter to have a straight up bet. Johnson for example is 7/20 to see off Adam Long his opponent in the first round. A strategy I enjoy here is to take my short priced fancies and to put them into a multiple, in this case I am taking a treble that works out at just over 15/10. All 3 selections have to win in order for me to collect my winnings.
