South Africa take a 2-1 series lead into the 4th T20 against the West Indies in Grenada on Thursday and we take a look at the game from betting angle.
These T20’s are certainly coming thick and fast and South Africa have now won 2 in a row having lost the opener convincingly. They batted first in all 3 matches and all 3 of their scores have ended up in the 160’s, all 5 T20’s take place on the same ground.
In the 3rd T20 they reached 167 for 8 with Quinton de Kock top scoring with 72 at a strike rate of 141. For the West Indies, Obed McCoy was the stand out bowler getting 4 for 22 in his 4 overs. There was also an economical spell of 3 for 25 in 4 overs from Dwayne Bravo.
At 90 for 2 in the 11th over the West Indies seemed to be cruising to victory, but none of their batsmen really got going and they ended up falling one run short. The South African’s shared the wickets, but special mention must go to Anrich Nortje who bowled brilliantly at the death especially after been hit for successive 6’s at the start of his penultimate over. Shamsi was once again economical going at under 3.5 runs an over in 4 overs and picking up 2 wickets.
FOURTH T20 BETTING – Click here to bet
West Indies 7/10
South Africa 12/10
Suggested Bets:
West Indies win at 7/10
These sides are very evenly matched, but I do feel that West Indies have a slightly better team, but just failed to play well in key moments. Given a loss in this game would mean a series loss, they will be fired up for this one and I am expecting them to come back and force the decider.
Top Away Batsman, Rassie van der Dussen at 9/2
Van der Dussen was top scorer in the 1st T20 and while a lot depends on how much time he gets at the crease I think he looks well priced to top this market again.
Top Home Batsman, Lewis at 9/4
Lewis hasn’t quite reached the heights that he achieved in the 1st T20, but he does look in great nick so I am backing him to go well again on Thursday.
