RACE 1

SERENDIPITOUS produced a good comeback run when second over this distance on the polytrack. She found one too good in the form of Colonel Green that day. The daughter of Captain Of All would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She gets the services of capable work rider Esethu Thuthu and can go one better. 

STRING OF LIGHTS ran a fair race when fifth over 1200m last time. She finished second in her penultimate run over this C&D. The daughter of Global View is back against her own sex and she is one of the leading contenders. 

MISS PRIOR finished 0.75 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 2

RAINBOW RIVER returns from a 14-week break and is having her first run for the Kelly Mitchley stable. She brings fair Gauteng form lines with her. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride on her stable debut and if not in need of this outing, she can win in this line-up. 

RUBY CLAIRE showed good improvement in her local debut over 1300m on the polytrack. She should have finished closer to the winner as she hung inwards and had to be switched at the 100m mark. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

FIRE ALARM returns from a 24-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. Her debut effort when third over 1200m on the polytrack was fair. Richard Fourie rides on her return and if fit, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

RACE 3

FOUR JACKS set the pace over this C&D last time and fought hard all the way to the line. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. This is his first run for the Gavin Smith stable and he will strip much fitter. From pole position, he may be hard to peg back. 

FINAL EDITION won a good race in his last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He received a six-pound penalty for the victory. The 5yo gelding is in a good space and he merits healthy respect. 

TIMBAVATI RIVER finished 3 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. 

RACE 4

HOLDING THUMBS hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. He is better than his last start in Class 3 Company over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. The son of Vercingetorix won his previous two starts with ease. He is likely to get his own way in front and if all went well with his travels, he should be hard to peg back.

GLOBAL ALLY found one too good in the form of Zatara Magic last time. He has won twice and finished second once from six starts on this course. He returns to Handicap Company and is one of the leading contenders.

SEQUOIA has good recent form lines to his credit. He has won twice and finished third twice from six starts on this course. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 5

ARTICUNO won a good race in her local debut against male company. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She would have come on from the run and back against her own sex, she can follow up. 

ELLA‘S DELIGHT rallied late when second over 1000m on the polytrack last time. All three of her career victories have come over this distance. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and the combination merit obvious inclusion. 

MY AMI BEACH should have finished closer to the winner last time. She won a good race in her penultimate start over this C&D. Apprentice Nirvan Nastili steps back into the saddle and despite facing a competitive field, she should be mowing down the frontrunners. 

Race 6

COASTAL PATH is the best bet on the programme. He fought hard for his last victory over this distance on the polytrack. The blinkers have done the trick on the son of Global View. He has won twice and finished third twice from seven starts over this C&D. He meets the right field and should follow up with another victory. 

AQUILA GOLD returns from his break/suspension. He has not finished too far off the winner in his last two starts. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and if fit, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot. 

EXPLOSIVE SPEED may not have seen out the 1400m last time. He drops back to his favourite distance and on best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 7

SEPTEMBER FLOWER was not beaten far in her post maiden effort over 1300m on the polytrack. She raced from a handy position after a slow start and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of One World finished second in her only attempt on this course. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and she may be the one to side with. 

FREE WORLD found one too good in the form of Bytheliteofthemoon last time. Luyolo Mxothwa is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most. 

KOMESANS PASSION finished 0.75 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. 

RACE 8

WILLIAM THE FIRST is better than his last start over 1200m on the polytrack. His penultimate run when second to Bethel over this distance on the polytrack, catches the eye. He drops back in class and gets the services of Donald Geerthsen which will assist his cause. The son of William Longsword can return to winning ways. 

CAPTAIN TIK TOK was running on when third over this C&D last time. He returns from a 16-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. If not in need of this outing, he should go close. 

RAVILIOUS stayed on when fourth over 1200m on the polytrack last time. His only victory came over this C&D. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni retains the ride and the pair should be competitive
