CARDIFF V OSPREYS
Posted 01 June, 10h12
The handicap is Cardiff +4.5 and the Ospreys have won 6 of the last 8 but Cardiff 2 of the last 3. The Ospreys could have a mathematical chance of progressing but probably won’t and I am back Cardiff to win this.
The points line of over 48.5 is also tempting especially because recent Ospreys away games have been high scoring.
BET: 2 units Cardiff win at 16/10 at Betxchange
MUNSTER V ULSTER
Posted 01 June, 10h10
Munster need to win to secure top spot on the log and having opened -12.5 the cap has steadied at -13.5 or -14.5 depending on where you shop.
They don’t need a bonus point and I think this could be a typical tight affair against an Ulster team that is assured a spot in the last 8.
Under 52.5 would have arrived in 7 of the last 8 head to heads and only just missed (53) points in the other.
BET: 3 units under 52.5 points at 10/11 at Pokerbet
SCARLETS V DRAGONS
Posted 31 May, 22h53
With so much rugby on the go this is certainly a low priority game for me. The handicap is Scarlets -6.5 and the points line is 52.5.
I think with nothing but pride on the line the tries could flow and the points line of 52.5 could shift out.
BET: 3 units over 52.5 points at 20/21 at Pokerbet
BENETTON V EDINBURGH
Posted 31 May, 22h46
This could be a winner take all game although it is possible that the loser can also go through.
Nathan mentioned on Thursdays THE HANDICAP show that it would suit both teams if the 4 try bonus points came into play and the points line of 48.5 is edging up.
I am in agreement and am going to take the over 49.5 still on offer.
BET: 3 units over 49.5 points at 9/10 at Pokerbet
FORCE V BRUMBIES
Posted 31 May, 22h25
This is a tricky one and I won’t be getting too involved until I know what both teams are playing for. If the Drua win against the Rebels the Force are out and will have nothing to play for however if the Drua lose they could go above the Crusaders with a bonus point win.
That seems unlikely but if the Blues and Hurricanes win the Brumbies will have nothing to play for and may drop their guard.
The Force have been good at home this season and at thi stage a small play on the ML.
BET: 2 units Force win at 7/4 at WSB
BLUES v CHIEFS
Posted 31 May, 13h12
The Blues will know what they have to do to finish 1st on the log and it may well require a bonus point win which will be a big ask against the Chiefs.
The current handicap is Blues -7.5 and I thnk that is well set.
I think the Blues edge a tight one
BET: 3 units Blues by under 12.5 points at 16/10 at WSB
HURRICANES V HIGHLANDERS
Posted 31 May, 12h57
This handicap has moved from Hurricanes -18.5 to the current line of -23.5, mainly on the back of team news with the Highlanders rotating.
The Canes are 2nd on the table but a bonus point win here could see them top the log with the Blues having a tough encounter on the Chiefs and the sides currently level on points.
I am going to back the home team to score 42 points or more.
BET: 5 units Hurricanes over 41.5 points at Pokerbet
FIJIAN DRUA V REBELS
Posted 31 May, 12h40
The Drua only need to win to qualify and they take on a Rebels assured of finishing at least 7twith a highest place finish of 6th.
The Rebels have had confirmation that this will be their final season and how the players respond will be key to this game.
The handicap is currently Drua -13.5 and I have no firm views on it.
Conditions should be good at AAMI Park but I think the game could be a bit scrappy and under 56.5 is my play.
BET: 3 units under 56.5 points at 9/10 at WSB
GLASGOW WARRIORS V ZEBRE
Posted 31 May, 05h59
Glasgow need to win big to put pressure on the Bulls and put themselves in the hunt for a potential home semifinal. They have named a strong team and play a Zebre side that started the season well but has faded badly.
I am expecting the home side to come out firing and to wrap up the bonus point by the break.
BET: 4 units Glasgow over 3.5 1st half tries at 17/20 at Pokerbet
LEINSTER V CONNACHT
Posted 31 May 05h51
Leinster have made a host of changes after their Champions Cup loss and the handicap has come in from -18.5 earlier in the week to -15.5 where it appears to have settled.
Connacht still have an outside chance of progressing but they are missing a couple of key players and I think that this Leinster team with a strong bench will get the job done.
The points line is 55.5 and if the forecast stays good I might be tempted by overs points in this one with Connacht in particular having to chase a bonus point.
BET: 3 units Leinster -15.5 at 10/11 at Sportingbet
WARATAHS V REDS
Posted 30 May, 23h50
The Reds have nothing to play for here and will finish 5th whether they win or lose and the Waratahs must just be wishing the season would end. The handicap opened +11.5 Waratahs and is now +9.5, I capped it at +6.5 expecting more changes from the Reds.
This looks a tricky handicap and with some rain about I am going to go for a scrappy, low scoring game.
BET: 3 units under 56.5 points at 17/20 at Sportingbet
CRUSADERS V MOANA PASIFIKA
Posted 30 May, 23h39
The handicap at the time of writing is Crusaders -26.5 and I expect them to give Moana a beating of note.
There were a few bets mentioned in the live chat comments of THE HANDICAP but the one I liked the most was Crusaders to beat the half time handicap.
They will be chasing a bonus point win which would keep them in with a chance of qualifying and I think they will come out firing.
The points line is 59.5 and nothing for me there at this point.
BET: 4 units Crusaders -12.5 Half Time Handicap at 17/20 at Sportingbet*
