BettingDiarySouth Africa will be looking to bounce back when they take on the West Indies in the 2nd of 5 T20’s in Grenada on Sunday. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

The West Indies were priced up as narrow favourites in the first match and they delivered in some style after winning the toss and sending the Proteas in to bat. On the face of it South Africa’s 160 for 6 in 20 overs didn’t look like a bad score and there were contributions from most of the top order with Rassie van der Dussen top scoring with 56 at a strike rate of a 147. For the West Indies Dwayne Bravo and Fabian Allen both picked up 2 wickets with Allen going for only 4.5 runs an over in his 4 overs.

The West Indies began the chase as though they were in a hurry and ultimately got home with 5 overs to spare and 8 wickets in hand. Man of the Match, Evin Lewis hammered 71 off just 35 balls with 7 sixes and 4 fours and Chris Gale came in at 3 and played, by his standards a conservative knock, 32 not out at a strike rate of 133. A quick 23 not out off 12 balls from Andre Russell helped see them home.

Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the South African bowlers with 1 for 27 in his 4 overs and Andre Nortje was economical going for just 5 an over, but he only bowled 2 of his allocation.

SECOND T20 BETTING – Click here to bet

West Indies 6/10

South Africa 14/10

Suggested Bet: Highest First 6 Overs Score, West Indies at 8/10.

Both sides have plenty of fire power at the top of the order, but the way the West Indies batted yesterday this certainly looks like a value bet as they came out the gates absolutely firing and having Gayle come in at 3 means that even an early wicket wouldn’t be a setback.

Look out for in-running betting as well as markets such as Top Home and Away Batsmen and Bowlers and Man of the Match which will be added to the betting later this morning.
