We take a look at this weekend’s Styrian Grand Prix taking place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and suggest a couple of pre-race bets.
Max Verstappen completed the clean sweep in the French Grand Prix taking pole position, getting the fastest lap and winning ahead of his title rival, Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez completed the podium in France.
Verstappen now leads Hamilton by 12 points at the top of the Drivers Championship and for the first time in many a year we have a proper title race and bookmakers are betting a 5/6 as a pair on which one of them wins the title.

Last year the Austrian GP and Styrian GP were run on successive weekends at the same track and Mercedes dominated with Bottas winning the Austrian GP and Lewis Hamilton the Styrian. Hamilton qualified in pole and beat his Mercedes teammate Bottas home with Max Verstappen completing the podium.

Max Verstappen 5/4
Lewis Hamilton 14/10
Sergio Perez 9/1
Valtteri Bottas 10/1
50/1 and better the balance
Suggested Bet: Max Verstappen win at 5/4
Following Verstappen this season has been good for us especially given he has only finished outside the Top 2 once and we can take advantage of the promotion with money back on your stake in free bets should your selection run 2nd. See Banner Below.
Verstappen capitalised on some tactical errors by the Mercedes in France, but given how Mercedes have dominated the previous French Grand Prix it was certainly a huge psychological blow struck that he was able to win the race.
This track, if anything, should be more suited to the Red Bull and although it feels weird not to see Hamilton at the top of the betting boards, I think that Max Verstappen is the play again at current odds of 5/4.
Suggested Bet: Podium finish, Lando Norris at 28/10
It could be argued that we are betting here on who will finish behind Verstappen and Hamilton, but I fancy the chances of Norris who has been super consistent this season and has only finished outside the Top 5 once in 7 races with 2 podiums in that time.
