Let’s start this preview with a quick look at the Outright Betting for the English Premier League title. Manchester City are currently the favourites at 17/10 ahead of Liverpool at 2/1, you can get 6/1 Tottenham, 13/2 Chelsea and 18/1 and better the balance.

WOLVES v CHELSEA – Click here to bet

The early kick-off sees Wolves host Chelsea and the home team currently sit 13th on the table and looking to avoid a 3rd successive defeat. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Villa on the weekend and prior to that beaten 4-0 on the road at Liverpool. Wolves home games have averaged 2 goals each and they have won 2 and drawn 2 of their 6 home matches to date.

Chelsea are 5th on the table, but coming off a disappointing loss, 1-0 away at Everton. That broke a run of 9 successive matches without defeat. Chelsea have won 3 and drawn 2 of their 6 away games and Chelsea’s away games have averaged 2.7 goals each.

Chelsea did the double over Wolves last season and won this fixture 5-2, but the season before Wolves won at home 2-1.

BETTING

Wolves 4/1

Draw 28/10

Chelsea 7/10

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 8/10

Both of these sides are showing signs of taking strain as they head into a heavy festive season and I think we might have a tight low scoring affair here.

MANCHESTER CITY v WEST BROM - Click here to bet

As mentioned in the betting update above, City are still the favourites to win the EPL despite the fact that they trail leaders, Tottenham by 6 points, all be it with a game in hand. They are undefeated in their last 3 games, but were less than impressive in drawing 0-0 with Manchester United away on the weekend. Their home form has been solid of late though and they have won 3 of 5 home games including the last 2 where they have scored 7 goals in total without reply.

West Brom are 2nd from bottom of the table with just 1 win in their 12 starts this season. They were beaten 2-1 away at Newcastle on the weekend which was a bit disappointing given that Newcastle were missing key players. West Brom have only taken 1 point on the road in 6 matches played this season and they have scored just 4 goals in those 6 games while conceding 13.

BETTING

Manchester City 1/10

Draw 37/4

West Brom 26/1

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 8/10

Manchester City should have few problems seeing off West Brom and I am expecting them to get the 4 goals required to win this bet on their own.
