BettingDiaryAfter a thrilling opening T20 which Pakistan edged, the teams head to Lahore for a double header on Saturday and Sunday and we take a look at Saturday’s 2nd T20 from a betting angle.

Let’s have a look back at the 1st T20 where a second string South African side were the underdogs against Pakistan, but ended up pushing them all the way. South Africa won the toss and elected to field first and Pakistan made a 169 for 6 in their 20 overs thanks to Mohammed Rizwan’s 104 which pretty much carried the entire innings. Most of the South African bowlers contributed but pick for me was Shamsi with his 1 for 20 in 4 overs.

The run chase started well and South Africa lost their 1st wicket at 53, but after that they battled to get on top of things and in the end they finished on 166 for 6. They can look back at an innings where they failed to kick on when needed and put themselves under two much pressure.

Hendricks was top scorer with 54 and there were some good performances by the Pakistan bowlers with spin once again proving South Africa’s undoing.

2nd T20 Bettingclick here to bet

Pakistan 5/10

South Africa 13/8

Pakistan are just a slightly bigger price than they were for the 1st T20, but it is still in the Exotic Markets where I have seen the value and if pressed to back a winner I would have to side with the home team.

SUGGESTED BET: Top Away Batsman, Klaasen at 11/2

The skipper came in too late to impact this market in the 1st T20, but I am expecting a more aggressive approach up front from the Proteas and that could open the door for the skipper.

SUGGESTED BET: Total Runs in Match over 325.5 at 17/20

This wicket is likely to take spin, but it also looks to have more runs in it than the match on Thursday.

SUGGESTED BET: Man of the Match, Azam at 9/2

Azam got a very rare duck in the first T20 and I am expecting him to bounce back strongly. If as I suspect Pakistan win the match there is every chance it will be on the back of a brilliant innings by their captain.

SUGGESTED BET: Top Away Bowler, Shamsi at 3/1

Shamsi only got 1 wicket in the 1st T20, but he bowled economically and created chances. He is a worthy favourite in this market and I am hoping the Pakistan batsmen try and take him on.
